I agree with many that it is not so nice to be one of the few combat balanced when most if not all others are still overpowered. I think that my patience is still holding up and I do look forward to the upcoming combat balance. Even if it was a bad call to make jedi so common. I do not think that ID change and Droid Engineer changes and so on were bad. They needed changing and we all do better due to them .... however the change for the jedi is not time line and only go to a select few who play them. And they really should not be so many.

But back to my thoughts. I think that I can do well in most situations but the only problem is that my pet need to be BE at clvl 60+ to stand up to PVE hard situations. I can with my lvl 69 pet designed for resists have a really nice fight even if I myself am without combat professions. The problem is that Bio Engineers only make chef stuff .. I hardly ever get hold of a BE that make pets and if they do they never have the large ones. That is a major issue atm. I really would like to see more of them since that would make me better in the battlefield.

There are plenty of BEs who will make these pets, just check out the discussions on the BE forum where we often toss around ideas for a better CL60+ pet.

There will be guys on your server making them, the problem is that I doubt more than 10% of the SWG population use these forums at all and most of those only go as far as the Game Guides and GCW forums.

All I can suggest is that you keep asking in game, using the search facility, pester on the Auction Chanel on each planet as you travel, etc., and see who pops up.

Thinkthe problem may not be that "Bio Engineers only make chef stuff", but that finding a BE vendor with pets on it can be tricky.

Many BE's don't make custom pets since they aren't worth the hassle (i.e. It's far, far more cost effective to custom build chef addatives).

BE eats that many skill points that a lot of BE's just don't have a vendor. Those that do don't have merchant skill so the vendor is not marked on the map (so not that easy to find).

However, practically every BE makes pets (it's the major reason for becoming one).

Check out the bazaar under Deeds/Pet Deeds. Chances are you will find a number of pets being auctioned which have the location of pet vendors in thier descriptions (primitive advertising - but it works). These vendors should be stocked since bazaar items decay in a week.

The other incentive you can offer is money. High CL pets require high CL DNA - which means your BE has to go sticking sampling needles in Rancors and the like (i.e. Extreme risk of death). Whilst most BE's will "shotgun" large numbers of sub-CL 50 pets the over 50's are much, much harder to make. Be prepared to pay a much higher price for these things (i.e. Don't throw a wobbly if a BE asks 250K+ for a cl 60+ pet - that pet represents many hours of dangerous work!)

Well thanks for both of those suggestions. I have been a Master Creature Handler since I began playing this game and will be forever. I do not think I have been slack in my time looking for nice lvl 60+ pets but I have not searched high and low so yes there are probably many that do have pets .. just that most BE I talk to or come across or a vendor I look in have not one single nice pet for me. If I ask the BE in question most of the time they do not have any plans on making them since they feel it is taking too much time getting me that high end pet.

Also I guess another thing you mention is that to make credits a BE make the vendor stocked full of other things that are a bit easier to get hold of and can make money on. I also have good pets but would like specific ones with certain resists and the demand from my end is a lot more than is available.

I can get any food if I search a chef vendor. I can buy weapons and armors easily and so on. Pet deeds are rare .. at least the good ones.

I have tried setting up a business proposal for several BE .. I can buy lots and lots of the pet deeds .. mounts .. non ch pets etc and sell ... I have not had any success yet. I try to have 5 to 6 pets in my data pad for customers at low levels and the rest for me and potential other Creature handlers. And I think I need a better way to sell them be it BE made or tamed ones. Also would need a good supply of them if I should start such a venture.
