I was wondering what you guys might price a bugged Rancor at. An acquaintence of mine is willing to sell me a bugged Rancor that is usable at Novice CH.
Almost 12k ham
30% kinetic
about 600 dmg
Sure would be nice to have this to go along with Master Rifleman and I have the points for Novice. The question is...what would be the value of something like this?

Although froma novice CHpoint of view it would be great to own such a pet, it should be destroyed.
Considering the skill points and time a CH has to put in to ownand use a Rancorthis isjust plain wrong.
As with all exploits, do the right thing and kill it.

Take it outside behind the cantina, put a blaster bolt through its head, chop it up into a billion peices, burn the peices to ash, and jettison it into space next time you catch a transport to a different planet. Dev catch the rancor that the non CH is using, they will tell it to destroy it.

Don't spend a dime on this.
It's an exploit pet, it's subject to being taken away from you by a CSR at any time, and rightly so.
That thing is an abomination that should be destroyed. No one with less than a call level of 35 should be able to call even a BE rancor.
Besides. Rancors are simply not that great a pet at the CL they're intended to be available at. They're slow and not that tough. They are great for scaring the poodoo out of n00bs, though...they have a psychological effect on a lot of players.

What right do we have to decide whether this Rancor should be destroyed.
I am gonna tell Animal Rights about this

The Rancor needs to be destroyed. I and a few other CH'sI know, send in /bug reports on each one of these exploit pets (yes it is an exploit pet and I am using that word) we see. I have been approached many times by people asking if I want to buy one, and each one I inform the seller that the pet will go away soon, and that they should destroy it.
I encourage all CH to put in bug reports when you see these guys. The sooner these are eliminated, the better off our profession will be.
PS if the person didn't know it was an exploit pet before they offered to sell it to me, they know it is after they offer to sell it to me and therefore it becomes an exploit to pull it out.
