Thread: How long does it take for babies to lose the name babies?

I am new and tamed 2 swamp gurrcat babies and 1 week later and some gains later (was novice ch 0 0 0 0 and am now 1 1 1 1) and they are full grown and maxed at their ham and level and have been for 3 days now. How long does it to take for the "baby" label to leave? I am just curious. Thanks!!

In order to get the babies name out you will need to least have 4 creature handler commands to use . When you are ready to do it make sure after you select each command start it off with the name you wish to use then space then add the command name you wish to use. - hold,stay,guard,attack and so on.
If you never do the name change the babie name will remain into adult level of pet and remain there till you change it or get another ch to do it for you.

Let me get this straight....to name my pet, after I train him the commands for something like follow (I use follow for follow, group for group, stay for stay and gaurd for guard to make things easy). I then type whatever name I want for my pet, followed by a space and then the command? For instance, Spanky group(thendo the same with 3 other commands)? I tried that but it doenst work...

In order to name the pet, you will need the ability to train him in 4 different commands using his name in teh command, such as... Bob Follow; Bob Attack; Bob Store; and Bob Gaurd. Once all 4 commands take, teh baby tag should go away and be replaced by his new name... Bob......

some people are clueless...
the maker of the topic is asking when the (baby) tag goes away and it changes from "a delirious chuba canyon destroyer (baby)" to "a delirious chuba canyon destroyer".
to answer your question, the (baby) tag never goes away.

Naming pet 101: the easy way.
here is what you can do, set up a macro that says...
/tellpet [name you want] 1;
then you put it on your toolbar.
hit the radial menu, choose the first command, press the macro and after it accepts the command, repeat it with 3 more different commands.
After the 4th command it will pop up a balloon with the new name with a question mark behind it.
After this happens, just go back and put the commands however you want them.
just a quick tip.
