Hmm, well i aquired this Lurking Angler. Its not tamable. And hasn't been for a very long time. I'm asking for some price estimates on this creature. Keep in mind if its Extinct, its worth alot i'm sure. If not, no loss. If it isn't Extinct, then bring this to my attention, and I will delete this post.

i dont believe lurking anglers were ever tamable. if you have one, i am mistaken and they should be added to the extinct list

most extincts start at 1.5-2m.

but then, eclipse always has the good crap, so your economy may be altered to reflect such.

Lurking Angler... Possibly One of the Most Extinct pets. Maybe.

Am I the only one who thinks a pet cannot be more extinct than another one?

The MOST Extinct pet is likely Nym's Kusak Guardian. One guy I've seen so far has had one, and from a freak spawn way way back when.
