That would be correct. if you have a level 20 max level for pets, you could only tame level 20 and below.

Some creatures have multiple types of it, and also multiple of those marked as "having babies", for example, there are:

kusak lvl 18

kusak mauler lvl22

kusak stalker lvl24

all 3 marked with having babies, so when i want to get a kusak stalker, do i need to find a "kusak stalker baby" or is that working otherlike?

Again, correct, if you want to get a kusak stalker baby, you would have to find a spawn of kusak stalkers. Now, if these are anything like huurtons on Dantooine, they possibly could be mixed in with lower level kusaks

some months ago when i was a newby i once where novice creature handler, but gave it up then (think that was some weeks after Publish6), however i can remember there was a release creature in the radial menu when the pet is called, but now i found back to CH, i cant find that option again. I already searched all Update Lists since Publish5 but found nothing on it, has that been removed or is it only on a command now?

If you want to release your pet now you have to do so in the datapad. It will be an option in the radial menu
