something i posted on a dev site earlier... thought i would ask you all for your thoughts, but i dunno if it has been posted before. I know something similar has though...

I didn't read all the way throught the 9+ pages, but something that would help gorups, and something that could help us ever-so-often smacked around CH, would be the ability for CH to tame a certain type of pet that could be used in groups to heal mind wounds and BF. Perhaps by watching it play or "petting" it or something else, because these things have been proven in real life to relieve stress (BF) and calm people... Perhaps the higher the CL the more it heals, so that Non-ch's can use it, but having a MCH with a level 70 one would heal wounds and such extremely fast...

hi

im not saying its a bad idea, but the only trouble thier is, you would be taking it away

from ..medic..dance..music..professions, which is one of the ways thay earn thier credits..

Yeah its a good idea but as was said before, it would take away from those professions already dedicated to healing the various wound types. The only thing close to that might be for the /pet emote to heal some wounds for your pet. They might let that one slip in but it would be a close one.

perhaps if it was a pet that grouped with a doc or ent and increased their healing ability it would be more acceptable.

I just recently posted on a thread like this, it may have been yours

I agree it is treading in someone elses territory and they would'nt take it kindly lol

although this idea can be tweaked to work if a pet of this nature is and can only be used by an entertainer or doctor. in other threads ive posted ideas for a medical mount giving doctors limited ranged healing and for combat medics extended ranged healing. including saddlebags for the mounts to hold stim's

and having pets trainable over a long period of time (weeks, or month) depending how often you teach them a dance type command that they can eventually learn to perform for a few minutes and granting a healing bonus to the entertainers.

granting a bonus to the professions already out there is the only way something like this could be done. i would'nt feel right about it if we replaced doc's or ent's in any way and I dont believe the devs would do it anyways.

your on the right track though in reguards to helping ch have some versatility though :-)

Perhaps if you combined this idea with camps (make camps useful again). Just having a pet heal mind wounds and BF at anytime seems unbalancing and Entertainers would probably not like it too much. Maybe so we don't trample on Entertainers too much, put some limits on it -- don't heal BF below 200 but still heal all mind wounds? I'm just thinking out loud a bit as I know entertainers won't appreciate it if we were to take all their business away!

I definitely like the idea though in general!

I know the idea as a whole would need tweaked to make it balanced and useful to everyone. I just kinda threw it out there while sitting at a computer while waiting for my next class... I like the idea of haveing to be grouped with an entertainer, this would get some of them out of the cantina's and into the fields... lets get some good ones going

Having pet induced entertainer bonuses appears to fit within the construct of the game, and would provide additional option for creature handlers, musicians, and dancers. I like this.

Limited mind healing within the boundaries of a camp, while slightly stepping over boundaries, I feel, would be a good idea; essentially throwing a bone to scouts and rangers who could use something to chew on since camps have been borked.
