Thread: I looked above.. didn't find any info Specials?
that is the only way you can be sure they work.
example
macro name = petspecial
/tellpet [special attack 1 command]
/paues 3
/tellpet [special attack 2 command]
/paues 3
/macro petspecial
Everything else, including the area effect versions of the above, do work. For me it is 100% of the time, although if I initiate combat they will start with a regular attack then use the special.
Specials also queue up for your pet, so do not order special one repeatedly if you want to follow it with special two. Alternate them or wait for the first to fire off then order it.

Using Specials a pet may have.. You teach them the Special 1 and 2 commands, but using them.... Has anyone figured out the odds of them working? Specials like Strong Poison and crippling Strike are my main questions.
(I have a MBE and a 4/2/2/4 CH, so I make what I use. I need to know what works and what doesn't.)
Thanks !!!
Plague Strike, Poison Spray, Strong Poison, and Medium Poison all hit approx 75-85% of the time on command for me. And each of these do not have a floating name above the animals head to indicate they tried the attack. I have noticed that the command works and the attack sticks if the pet lands his next attack via the combat chat window, if he misses I have never seen the attack stick
Knockdown does work depending on the animal. My old Ravenous Torton used to knock down Meatlumps left and right. I haven't used my Huurton Huntress on NPCs in quite awhile, I need to check and see if hers works as she has both Dizzy and Knockdown. My Mountain Dewback is the same,I haven't checked him against NPCs in quite awhile either. And the Devs stated that Knockdown is only an NPC and PC special, it doesn't really affect creatures at all. (and a Ranger trap does Dizzy, lol).
I can get Intimidate to launch 95% of the time on command, that is evidenced by the little floating image going from my pet to the target. Cripplestrike from my Gurreck will cause a posture down most of the time, my only problem is I forget he has it and don't order it. Stun will stick 90% of the time.
All in all, I have good success with specials being launched on command and sticking. I don't use macros. I sometimes use the spatial while other times using /tellpet. I use /tellpet in a command on my toolbar with my screecher depending on what I am doing.
