When I first started the game I wasn enthralled at all the professions and range in life. Out of all the professions CH sounded the funnest. What's funner than going out in the wild and tracking down your favorite, or the most challenging animal in the galaxy and attempting to make him/her your own? I started down the CH path right away, but then began to learn of some of the drawbacks of the system.

One, the animal can't fight while you're mounted on it. Is this because of logic? One would be thrown off while riding his mount? What if the animal gets incapped while riding it? Or is it a problem with graphics? As I see it, we should get the same advantages that at least NPC's have, if not more, which leads to the next drawback.

Two, Rancors should be mountable. OK, I know everyone is pushing for this, as well as many other animals, which should be done as well. But, what is more intimidating to other non-ch players than riding up to them on your very own bull rancor?

Three, make ch's more powerful in pvp. Currently ch is decent in pve, when you throw your merek or your gurreck, or creature name here, against any type of non-player entity it does decent damage, but when thrown in front of a tkm, or pistoleer, or even a bounty hunter, it only hits for possibly 100 damage. Can't we bump this up in the combat balance?

Four, allow someone, rangers, rifleman, whatever to use specials while mounted. I don't see why a rifleman can't use headshot3 while riding a dewback. You can make it where the animal has to be still in order for the person to set up their special, but it should be allowed.

Five, Make more creatures tamable...if you're a master ch, than you should be able to master basically anything. Even if it's a mutant rancor, or other type of creature that's level is too high. Maybe the answer is in publish 10 when you can become force sensitive, and one can use the force on the pets?

I'm out of steam for the time being, but these are doable requests. I'm not saying that any novice can do the above things. On the contrary, for most of the above mentioned items, only Master CH, or a combo of master CH, ranger, etc should be able to use some of the requests; however, they should be able to.

Please bump this up if you feel the same, and feel free to criticize and give feedback CH community.

Humbly,

Actually, I was thinking of this issue about using speicals and stuff. I'm willing to bet that if they allowed specials on mount back, it would have to go to everyone, not just CH's. But what they could do is this. Take the trick 1 and trick 2 and move them from Empathy and put them under taming or training or one of the other colums. then we take this colum and call it mount.

At Novice we gain the ability of having 0 modifyer to fiering from mount. then at box 1 we get a bonus of say +10-+20 which ever.At box 2, we get a special that can be used on mount, maybe Trample or somthing like that. This attack would be the equivilant to like Auto Fire 1 that the carbine get, or what ever woudl be simular for that weapon. Then at Mount III we would get additional bonus to fighting on mount back. Then at box IV we would get another speical that would be much like a level IV special attack. Would be a combo type attack done by mount and rider.

But in the long run, I HIGHLY doubt they will ever work on anythig that will allow specials from mount back, because it is a very few of us that use mounts, everyone else use the speeders and bikes.

Rangers have been discussing mounted combat ability for the past 2 weeks.

Check out their forum for some great ideas on how to actually make it work.
