Ferocity
What is it and what does it do?
Rumors and ideas float about and sound good, but nothing substantial or official has been found out about ferocity. Can anyone help here?
Rumors and ideas already floating about are:
compliments of xanth from swgcreatures.com
Seiryu says that "It was stated by Greenmarine (dev) a long time ago that ferocity increases the radius a creature will aggro you."
zutan says that " It seems to effect the likelyhood of the creature running away at low health. It also seems to effect the likelyhood that an agressive creature will agro you as you get closer to them."
gandel says that " this tells you how easily it will lose its temper towards you if it is aggressive. 0-5 and chances are it won't tear you apart unless you're right in its face. 5-10 it will most likely attack you if it sees you. 10-20 it will attack you the moment it even hears you."
If anyone has something official to say regarding ferocity, it would be much appreciated.

I read somewhere once and i dont remember where, and always thought it had to do with how aggresive a pet will fight, when I first became ch it was true that some pets would run away from some creatures lol and the fericity of a pet would effect this. however in todays game I notice no difference between tanking pets of high and low ferocity.
so to answer your question it may have mattered once but today ferocity will only effect you on the tame, viscouse creatures tend to have higher ferocity lvls

Im pretty sure it can't be what people call 'pet cowardice', as that has long ago been explained by the attack radius bug. if your pet has a different range than it's enemy, it will either force the enemy to run away to compensate or the pet will be forced to run away to compensate.

I can buy ferocity increasing the radius of a critter's likelihood to attack.
I also think that it has a direct impact on the likelihood of a critical fail when taming.
