TH. Just to clarify. CH,as per RuneSabre, was to have community interaction before Profession Specific changes occurred to it yet again. This secret behind closed doors beta seems contrary to this idea. How do you propose we change this?
The question is: Since CH has been revamped almost 11 months (and by your own words looking at 14 months) are we looking at major changes?
You mentioned roles. Ironically. You asked about this months ago. We still have no word back from you. We are really a ranger who loots less but has pets for roleplay value as it stands. Is CH still considered a Combat profession in SOE's eyes?
Please just make it public knowledge so we may move on to another profession, if combat is something we desire.
Lastly, what does SOE intend to do to reward the CH's that have kept with it the whole time. At bare minimum you could fix the specials that were supposed to be part of our Nerf. It was the one thing that was supposed to benefit us yet remains broken.

TH i'l try this again lol
is there anything here you can answer?? he CH community was revamped almost a year ago how will this effect us? are we combat?
throw us a bone here will you please
TH replied
Yes Creature Handler is a combat profession.
These changes will be discussed in the future, but let me say that Vertexon has been involved every step of the way and I have his utmost respect and confidence in his recommendations, as I do all of the correspondents. Further more, at Fan Fest, I spoke to many CH's and the combat changes that will be occuring are good.
All specials and combat moves will be covered in this Combat Upgrade and all involved professions will have a strong reason to play.

Dont want to be too negative, but I was going through the new SWG guide for JTL and this is how they list C/H.
"Neither a combat nor craftingprofession, it is more of a support profession that enhances the character's other trades."
While it gave some new information for noobies I was not too impressed at the way it potrays our profession. It is Prima, but it is also the Official Guide. Hmmmmm.

I love having the answer. A bit skeptical of it. It does allude to the fact that the Sandbox will be NDA'd and changes will merely occur from within.
While discouraging, after a few minutes of pondering this really means that we have to be pro-active and make sure the Sandbox Testers really understand what the other CH want in the Upgrade.
I will start a new thread tomorrow.

OMFG
TH acknowledged CH?!?!?!?!!?
Or maybe he finally realized as a profession long ago revamped we just may have some good imput because we have actually had to work to do things and not been able to solo everything.

Conflicting views on what a CH is, concerns me.It has been that way almost since the beginning.
Without picking a stance and sticking to it you will end up with a profession that constantly gets jerked around with patches.

Creature Handler is not really just a combat profession mind you...Agreed. During the Combat Upgrade, we will be touching the combat aspects.
We are not denying the tamer/trainer side. We are just asking for some restoration in PvP. Otherwise if we are merely tamers/trainers it is time for me to go. Short of Profession Specific Pets there is no economy. Pets steal from harvests. And quite frankly it would be faster to kill stuff with a monster BE nonCH pet and an LLC or Flamethrower.

Think you misunderstood my post Mr Pluto. Im all for some much needed changes for the PVP aspect.
What Im against is the constant flip flopping the team is doing with this class.
6 Months from now they may decide we are mount sellers and nothing more.
Pick a stance and stick to it.

Sorry Lorelai. I took it as a foreboding. I think many (edit spelling) CH see the dichotomy we have and how much like the smuggler we are pretty much a mix and match profession. I meant no offense by posting that but I was clarifying that TH's stance is that we are both.
I am more PvE/PvP than a rare tamer. I fully expect my PvE to change very little but do expect PvP to change drastically.
Short of PSP's though CH is not a class that could sustain being reduced to Mount Trainers Only. No one but newbs want them.
