Thread: Are pets controlled by non-CH able to mature?

Quick question, which at this moment I am trying to test with some guild members. If a non-CH is using a pet.. can that pet gain xp? So far it seems like it's unable. Does this mean a CH has to make the pet fully mature before trading it?

If the owner wants it to learn specials or become a mount, then yes, a Handler will need to level the pet.
