BecauseI store lot's of wp's to places where I've seen rare spawns, and visit them all regularly, I noticed the following. Sometimes these areas are PACKED with animals, and other times i go there, i can drive around for 30 minutes, without seeing even a fly ... on the same location ....... is this intended, or just bugged ?

Best example is riverlands .... some days i go there, and stumble over all animals...I come back with 5 grand wrixes babies.... and some days i can only find the static spawn of sharnafs.....for the rest completely deserted .....

Any other servers where this is happening ??

And i was wondering what you guys think of creatures dropping loot.....is that a good thing ? I have my doubts ....

I've noticed the same thing about spawning.Doubt it's a bug, though - probably some programming thing or other to do with how many people are logged on to that particular zone.

Personally, I really like that creatures will drop more loot. I mostly hunt, and this only makes hunting more fun.

I really hope this is not the case .... that would mean that 95% of the outposts like endor, yavin etc .. stay empty all the time ..... i think they should reward you to travel to the corners of the map (like krayt dragon) .... to find special things like maybe rare pets ........ i wanna travel for hours not seeing people, but i do wanna see lot's of creaturesand cool creatures...specially in deserted areas .... that's where animals are ...

Unfortunately animals aren't in deserted areas in SWG. It takes people crossing an area to throw the engine into spawn mode. There are only so many animals that can spawn at a given time so two things affect it. One is how many mission spawns are consuming those slots and the other is player traffic. If you come across an area with a lot of wild spawns it means that for some reason there has been player traffic in the area in the past several hours. It isn't at all hard to get to poorly traveled areas and find nothing. Rorie has fallen out of favor on Corbantis and I've traveled that whole planet without seeing a wild spawn some days.

Indeed, Rori is pretty barren on Starsider as well. I've lived there (my PA HQ) since the beginning of June this year....hardly ever see a spawn of creatures.

Hmmm. Well, maybe one benefit of creatures dropping more loot will mean more people will want to come to planets like Endor, Dathomir, Yavin to hunt the higher level creatures in hope of getting better loot? So more traffic means more creatures.

Corellian spawning actually seemed surprising good in Riverlands on Bria tonight. I half expected people to be loading up on missions and turning it intoeven more of awasteland than usual. But I think the opposite happened. People are ignoring the mission terminals and camping the static spawns like never before. I took a walk around Tyrena and every Meatlump spawn was being farmed for all it's worth.

Maybe those few seconds between NPC spawns are enough to let the spawner spread some love around the world? Cool if true.

They should make it so desolate areas spawn more creatures than highly populated areas. In which place would you be most likely to find a deer?A city or the woods 30 miles outside of thecity?

This would force people to spread out and explore alot more to find better loot from creatures and might actually make people goto places they normally wouldnt.

Have you been to Endor lately? The area between the science outpost and the village on Corbantis is deadly to the extreme. With all the people rushing to cash in for FS experience it's frightening. I went there recently to do some harvesting and was running into multiple wildspawns of rancor and spiders. I once had 12 rancor of various types chasing my swoop as I ran for all I was worth.

I'm hoping you meant Dathomir, because if they've moved the science post and rancors to Endor that would be game breaking news

And, yep, I'm currently hunting out of the science post and there does seem to be an unusually high number of rancors for that area - especially Enraged Rancors.

this is how it was back in the old days of the game, it was called the ring or circle of death. around every city on every planet about 600m out there would be TONS upon TONS of aggros, non-aggros, babies and npc's. newbs had a very difficult time back then because it was crawling with so many creatures you pretty much had to swoop away or stay in the city 24/7. i have seen many requests for this and maybe, just maybe, the devs actually do care what we think and are bringing it back PS. no offense to Vertexon. You have been the bets correspondant i have had EVER. you actually take part in our threads and keep us up-to-date /3cheers
