ok im a master CH and im working to get 0/0/3/0 in ranger. right now im a master swordsman and medic 4/4/0/0. to get the ranger skills i will have to drop all of medic. question is should i now go tkm for the self heals or stay with swordsman? i really like sword but i use alot of wild pets and atm i can keep them healed easily because i take most/all of the damage. any suggestions?

depends, usually CH's are mainly PvE, if you are stay with swords, tkm is useless in PvE. if ur goin pvp go TKM. i suggest u drop medic as you dont need it to heal your pets. pet stims made by bio-engineers dont require any medic to use

and pet stims heal mind as well as health and action...much better than those regular stims.

my template:
TKM, MCH, 4/3/4/0 medic

advantages:
UA toughness
good dm output in PvE and PvP
2k+ heals (stim Ds 40 med usage)
Pet stims run on seperate timer so i can heal them 2x as fast
meditation to heal wounds faster and get back into battle

theirs probably more but im tired so i cant think to clearly

disadvantages:
Only can do Kin dm and with 80-85% kin resist armor + buffs - cant solo anything with 100% kin resits(need i say more on dm types?)
no extra defences so you will need synth steak and thaktillo (but youd need those with swords too since their def arent all that)
Very low kd def, if you get kd'd + dizzy your pretty screwed if you dont luck out and get up

Im

CH (Master)

Comando 3-0-4-0

novice smuggler for the mse droids

i find its very effective when buffed not for pvp though, pve i function well and my pet with high damage high deffence fills in the gaps i like that spec but im allways thinking of switching to a mele class like swordsman or pikeman or TKM instead of commando do u think its a good idea????

SWG in a nutshell
SWG is like a big hill, you spend ages going up it and then find you cannot even go over the top

My CH Sakoni was TK4000 (the heals, powerboost come in very handy), Master Swordsman, Master Creature Handler, Medic 1000.

Wanted Ranger 0030 so I dropped the TK and Medic and now have Ranger 0030.

The pros to me are better harvesting and of course - area/distance tracking on creatures.

The cons - I miss medic more than I miss the TK - wounds and stuff I dont mind if I am careful to watch buffs (body/mind) if out bull rancor hunting etc. I keep spices though as emergency helps and then wait for the downer to go if required (when buffed it's less of an issue).

Overall - I prefer this template with some Ranger within. Won't be going back to the previous one. As for keeping swords over TK (on another char I used to be Master TK/Master CH) - in PVE, having used both TKM and Swordsman with CH - I definitely prefer Swordsman
