Thread: A Disappointing Milestone, I Give Up...

Last December I started looking for a Bull Rancor baby before they were even confirmed, and now here I am a year later and I have come up empty handed in my search, and to that, I give up looking.
It would have been nice to accomplish this goal, but due to this tameable's ridiculous rarity, it's just not worth spending anymore time on...

Join the club, 784 lairs and not even 1 sighting lol its either broke or just plain stupid odds.

I've had the same with GPS, for a change i've decided to go looking for Frenzied Grauls......don't know if thats better or worse 8/

I looked for a while but after considering the stats (B-Rancor)on it i realised whan would i use him? never lol
other thanthe rarity, and only a ch can understand this lol 90% of the population would look at ur find and say "so what another rancor lol"
I said to myself "why do I want something I'l never use and will take up space in my inventory for creatures I can and will use regularly"
I gave up rare hunting a long time ago, unless its stats are high enough to match its scarcity. and what I found is the low kin stat on most rares makes them useless to me. the prowling gurreck (which is not an ultra rare)and screecher (only because of the plague attack) are the only rares i would ever use.
your not missing much Aakh except aggrivation, frustration, and the 15 min of glory after you find one and post here lol. after that you sit and ask ok now what lmao

i disagree joe, i have been a mch since august/sept and have collected all the rares except the BR and the WDB, my goal is to get them all. after spending an extended time to collect a rare, i have no desire to "use" it any how..i have BE pets for that...i think if you are a ch purist , you will collect the rares no matter thier stats. the Be's can cater to those whose goal is to play a newer version of "mortal combat" (talking about the pvp'ers)..in a sense the devs made it so those who won't put in the effort , will not get these uber rares,and that's the way it should be. i will eventually get a BR..another mch friend found a corpse of one on our server so they do spawn on shadowfire, but i will get it just for me and not to "use"..i feel you pain aakh..lol..i have done hundreds of lairs since i became mch and have yet to see one...just take a break, do some jtl, and get back on the horse

I stand firm in my belief they are not worth the aggrivation, but if you or anyone else want to chase shadows for months and get nothing then be my guest.
a rare should be worth it other than trophy status. end of story here for me lol

I have and remain one of the very first CH on shadowfire. and people who preach that they are true ch because they collect pets of whatever kind and only use mounts (I have heard this also) are just preachingto others how they are a better true ch, implying others are not.
I know a reply saying i meant no offense is comming lol but would it have been needed if you didnt say it?

its not the difference of opinion i care about its the fact some people feel the need to throw they're credentials around for lol
I see way to many people ingame and here on the forums stating how long they have been here or been that like it makes them special. correct me if i am wrong didnt you once take offense that someone questioned your number of post and assumed you were new here.
how long you've been ch or what you think a ch purist (whatever the heck thats supposed to mean rofl) and how long you have been playingdoesnt mean squat. so on that note. why try and flaunt ch credentials like its supposed to mean anything.
its like calling someone a noob andlaughing at them ingame meanwhile we were all noobs once.
for the record i was here at beta and have the proof. however you dont see me up until now saying it.
and were did you get all that crap about what i said, i consider Aark a friend and shall speak to him as one. it was him i was replying to. if you dont like what i said to bad lol
yea it is a game and I shall play as I like not how you dictate a TRUE CH should talk about an ego....

hey joe i suppose i was trolling there..been that kind of a day..lol. i respect you and your opinions, just having some fun...
actually i am kinda new here..but no one has accused me of being such..even the most avid hunter needs a break, but i just read on the swg board how someone got a bull on thier 3rd lair..seems kinda like the lottery, got to be in it to win it

uhh.. i was under the impression this was a forum to discuss different viewpoints..not to aplogize toyour egofor not agreeing with you. you came across as the rancor hunt isn't worth your precious time, as if you were too good for the bull rancor..guess what joe?..it a GAME and the whole thing is a waste of time..all you can get out of the hours spent here are for you to succeed in your goals and have fun doing it..don't share your sour grapes with the rest of us...
i stand by what i said that hunting rares goes along with ch..if you find it too aggravating why are you still a ch?

Trust me I know how you feel...
I use to be a MCH (thinking about returning).. I searched and I searched to the point of going mad - then low and behold... one day while walking across Dath (this was about my 1 millionth trip) I come across a lair... Bull Rancors .... No I didn't get excited - No I didn't jump for joy - I've seen them before - I've seen lots of them before... But - I gave it a try - killed off the first bunch - let it spawn on it's own.. Nope nothing.. /sigh how typical ... Kill off second group... Tap the lair... OMG - no it can't be... I need to sit down... A baby spawned ... So, I pull myself together - mask scent - walk slowly over to the little guy... and begin to tame... dang he didn't like me... So I try again.... What - what the heck is this... I'm being agroed... BY NIGHTSISTERS...... OMG NO>>> They are killing the baby... boom I died and so did the baby.... /cry - I mark the waypoint - clone and head on back out there... No more lair... all gone.. poof and no more baby bull Rancor... Needless to say after one more straight month of trying I too gave up...
