I've hit lvl 40 (4/3/3/2) pets recently and I purchased a BE rancor with nice stats and specials for about 100k (that hurts!).

I've used so far lvl 25 Greater Sludge Panters and lvl 31 Razor Cats. They're fast and furious, they always obey my orders and stand close to me while riding my bike thru the wildernes.

Yesterday I tried the same with my brand new Rancor and it had serious problems following me (I know rancors are maybe slower than cats) even when I was using walking mode over my speederbike. I had to step off the bike and run by myself because this pet seemed to be totally stupid.

Do you know what can be the reason? It's the race? ?The fact that it is BioEngineered?

I gave him loads of bofa treats and played with him for a while... Anyone can help me?

From what I can tell this is an issue with the general speed at which the breed can move, very few can keep up with speeders/bikes, razorcats reptilian flyers and maybe huurtons are the sort of thing that will keep up but not rancors, grauls etc.

I got 4 rancors, they can NOT follow speeders and other fast bikes. So start running instead and your rancor will follow you wherever you go, cats are much faster though and can follow you for ages. But then you must use a speeder and not a swoop.

also it kind of sounds like a glitch in training make sure u look at the command for "follow me" and say whatever it says there. i can get my rancor to folow me on my swoop np because once i see him fall off my radar i stop for a few seconds and he comes running up.
