Thread: A well rounded Mount?

I used to have Bantha. It was a nice tank but that was about all. I have other pets that are better tanks so a Bantha wasn't my first choice for that and as a Mount it sucked. While riding it people would be running by me and gollop was barely better. So I have decided to ask the experts here what Mounts they have found to be the best or most useful.
I wantone that is fairly quick but can also tank if needed and do well at that. That Kaddu thing looks stupid as I have no desire to ride a giant duck unless it can beat a swoop.
I want a Mount that can get me around much faster than my own burst run and if I was to get knocked off would be capable of defending me and have a good chance at winning.
I just don't want to waste money on another Mount to find out it doesn't do what I am looking for.

be spat(looks a lot like a kaadu touhgh) woudl be fastest bar the kaadu, be wise skin is irrelevant and be's are the only real tank mounts so its all down to skin spee,d other thna the kaaud and spat id go fora cu-pa or for 4 ;legged critters a dewback

I suggest either the male brackaset or the savage humbaba. they both look real cool, the savage humbabas has AWESOME stats for its lvl24 (7500 HAM 25%kinetic resist 80 dmg) it runs fast and is HUGE. the male brackaset is a bit slower and has better stats (although its a much higher lvl) and also looks cooler. just some thoughts. and if you want the uber upon uber stats, go get a BE to make you a bol/falumpaset/brackaset with light armor 60 kinetic and 400+ dmg at around lvl 24. thatll protect you well 
and another idea is do you liek teh cu pas? they are the 3rd fastest mount in the game (slightly sower than kaadu) i think they look cool too

Beware to you if you want a mount that actually fights 100% of the time...to my knowledge there is still an issue with mounts in combat but it may have been fixed.....just a kind warning before you are counting on your mount pulling some of the combat.

Well so far the best mount I have ever seen for all around good stats is my 46 Cu Pa with 60 KR and most other stats at or near 90. His ham is a little unbalanced, but not by much, with over 10k ham. I have used him extensivly on Dath due to the terrain there, using him for both mount and tank. Most other CH's that have seen him drool over him and are amazed when I tell them he is lvl 46.
If your ever on Valcyn look me up and I'll gladly show him to you, or if you see me on Dath running Rancor missions give me a holler. Thats where I usually use him at. So my suggestion is look up a Master BE and have him make you a Cu Pa and stop his growth for mount at the last possible minute. This will give you a very good mount that will work until they let us mount Rancors!

Well I went out and must have hit almost every BE pet shop around.
I finally settled on a CuPa. I was tempted to get a Brakaset just because they look so cool but decided against it because I bought the Bantha because it looked so cool. I figured the CuPa being 3rd fastest mount and first good looking mount that it was the best for my intended purpose of travel.
The thing that sold me on this was the one I got was lvl 28 which was higher than I had planned but its stats were so much better than the lvl 26 he had I had to take it. It has 8000 Hams, 22 KR, 30 ER, and some 57 and others vulnerable for resistances.
The kicker was 290-300 damage with Knockdown and Intimidation special attacks.
It should make a speedy mount and if I should need it a solid combat pet.
