Thread: PET DISSAPEARS in the middle of a fight... 4 times?!?!
I've heard of some CHs saying this happens to them. It depends on who you talk to, really. Some CHs have had this as an ongoing problem, they claim. I have never had it happen to me, personally. I know several CHs who have never had autostoring happen to them, either. I amcurrently doing a second toon, with Rifleman/Doctor. I use two tanking pets and I have yet to experience the auto-storing problem. However, the fact that it happnes at all, albeit randomly, shows that it's a glitch that needs to be fixed. I believe it's been added to the CH issues list at the top of the forum.

Hello all.
Last night I was doing some Huurton Stalkers and Huntress on Dantooine about 2 km east from Mining Outpost. I'm mid-level CH (3321) and mid-level RM (2034). When I started the hunt I was only 1013 RM and was looking to advance as much in the counter-snipping branch as I could. At xx3x you get the brand deadly Flushing Shot 2: An AoE attack which deal a great amount of damage, dizzy and posture-up your targets.
I took several missions and made my way up to 1033 using Headshot2 (simple mind targeting) and I was enlighted with the posibility of using Flushing Shot finaly
I placed theFS2 in the toolbarand went for some more hunt since I was really anxious to test my new special on some Stalkers... I called and grouped with my lvl 25 GSP (which I've used for over8 months during old days as Novice CH with no problems) and headed to my mission wp.
Once there I send "Tarsalus" to attack both stalkers (1 hit to the first and then change to the second, so he will gain Xp from both critters) and started to spam FS2. It was working great talking about damage! Each shot drained 1/4 fo their HAM, but I was being informed each shot "You falied to change your target's posture" (remember that posture up mod of this special shot?) and after some more shot Tarsalus left the group and dissapeared from my radar. I couldn't target him and the stalkers decided to change the menu while lookingat me. Had to run for a while and heal a bit but I could finish them.
Still a bit shocked, I opened my Datapad and tried to call Tarsalus again. The option I was given was "STORE". What? he's not out! Ok, I used "store" 3 times and after that I could "CALL" him again. After 15 seconds he appeared a bit injured, as if he were just finished the fight.
This same history happend a total of 4 times in less than an hour. Everytime I stack 5 Flushing Shot my pet vanished in the air and the mobs get aggro on me.
Before and after that I used Head Shot 2 all the time and everything went ok, so I figure it's related with the use of AoE attacks with posture change maybe?
Anyone had experienced the same? Thank you for you time.
ps: It's strange on me using so few smileys

If it happens once, it will happen again in the same place. You are on a server border.
Delete the mission and start over in the other direction.
I'm sure I wasn't near a server border... meant as "map" limit, since going 2k east from Dant Mining Outpost you get even nearer to the center of the map.
Were you guessing about a logical server border? hmmm, I hunted for several hours using TKM abilities and other Rifle/Carbine specials and my pet never vanished. That's whyI pointed the AoE as a possible cause as it was the only thing that changed over time.
Same Character, same pet, same mobs, same weapon, same planet... diferent Specials and Diferent Game version (last time I loaded the game it said in the upper right corner "unknown version"...???).
Thank you all for your inputs. I'll try to repeatthis bugin other places and planets to see if it has something to do with system message buffer caused by this particular attack (Flushing Shot 2 I mean)or something like that.
I'll let you know, mates.

Actually it is a warping bug, there is a theory that your pet warps to 0,0 however no one has really wanted to sit at 0,0 all day to prove it.
Why it also disbands the group we are not sure, unless this bug also "resets" the pet so to speak.
But no your experiance is far from unique, although the frequency of this bug occuring has been reduced it is still alive and well.
