were do i look to see if it hase a sp attack on it or do i need to lvl it up to find it ?

It shows up on datapad at bottom of pet window.
Check out the "Pet Specials" sticky for pets with the specials you want to learn. Apparently, not all wild tames of these types are guaranteed to have the specials, but its a start.

The way I figure it, each baby, no matter what species, has a random chance to either know an ability or NOT know an ability. If it does know an ability, then that ability will be a random 1 out of the 2 or 3 possible abilities available to that particular species. They have probably a 50/50 chance to know an ability. It's possible, not likely, but possible that you could tame 5 or 6 pets without ever getting one with an ability.
If it has an ability, it will be listed in a very obvious place below the Vitality listing on the description in the datapad as soon as soon as you tame it.
Hope that helped, sometimes it can be really frustrating to tame stuff and then see that it doesnt have an ability, expecially on dathomir where it takes 10 minutes per tame even with awesome buffs.

So the list of abilities is between the vitality and the stats of the creature?
I've tamed like 20 creatures tonight since i just got CH and i have yet to get ANYTHING with any abilities.

Some species don't seem to have any chance of having inate abilities.
Try taming some other creatures.

I have trained a few hundred babies in the past few days and it seems to me that the chance of getting one with an ability is about 25%. I have had long runs where I didn't see any abilities at all. Don't give up hope. They are out there. I have been taming the yard trash around cities mostly (its easier to learn their specials), so I'm not sure what the odds are on higher level critters. Also try different types of creatures. Don't just stick to one type.
