Thread: Irritation with Baby Cl being same cl as parent
yeah and the old system you could have a critter out on Guard in case you pulled agro. So now, if you get em mad at ya, not only are you fighting a parent, but the baby has the same CL as the parent and you have no "backup"
Burst run! ![]()

Burst run!
Parawan nutricake is your friend!
Yes, this is extremely annoying, especially considering the timers on pets, which make you end of the line charlie when moving from one mission lair to another in a grinding group.

I've never got parwan nutricake to work, do you have to use it when your burstrun is running out or just use it any time to get 2 burstruns?
You have to use PROPERLY MADE parawan nutricake.
The stat that is crucial is the reuse stat. It's the only stat that matters...ignore the action cost stat, action costs are trivial in the post CU environment. 80% of the chefs on Ahazi experiment for the wrong stat, from what I've observed, they do what they always do, experiment on nutrition which will change the action cost of the nutricake, but with parawan the key stat to experiment on is flavor, because it governs the reuse stat.
90% reuse parawan will allow you in PvE situations to string together as many burst runs as your stomach will hold. It gives you an INSTANT burst run, which lasts for one minute. Because it's at 90% reuse, you will be able to burst run IMMEDIATELY after the first burst run has run out. 100% or better allows you to burst run again even if for any reason your burst run is broken (some state effects, like dizzy, can break your burst run). 100% or better reuse allows you to burst run again at once, a 90% burst run, while effective in most PvE, means you have to wait a minute to burst run again. Since your'e already burst running, this is not an issue...by the time your current burst is over, you'll be ready to burst run again.

The only way I have got it to work is to eat it immediately to trigger the burst run affect. If I try to use it after I hit burst run, it is wasted because I am still at the mercy of the burst run timer. I don't know if this is intentional or not.If it is, then they made another bad coding decision.
and you want to eat it for your *first* burst run. then once your stomach is full, you can use your natural burst run. but if you typed /burst before you ate, you're operating on the normal 10 minute timer and not the parwan timer. what parwan does is lessen the aftereffects of the burst run, not over-ride the effects of a previous burst run.

What parawan does is instantly put you in the burst run mode upon consumption. You don't need to hit your burst run hot key...in fact, I put my parawan in a hot key slotto be consumed in lieu of the burst run hot key. You eat the parawan, and you're burst running.

maybe a solution is to remove the CL check from the beginning of /tame and if tamed have the critter leave the world and move straight to the datapad stored....if the devs would do that![]()
Well, as an MCH, you forget sometimes that you're an MCH and you can tame anything that moves that is a critterlevel 70 and below. So the CL check at the beginning seems nonsensical. But it does make sense to check it first.
But you're right..it's about as likely that I'll get back my GSP with 8k HAM and 60% kinetic resits as it is the devs would do that.

The Cl check I am referring to is the callability being exceeded.
As in my example if you jave a cl50 pet called you get an error from /tame up front if the tame is above cl12

Yes, and once your first parwan burst run "runs out",you eatanother. As someone pointed out, if it is properly made you will burst run again immediately. If not, you will once the reused timer for the food is completed. YOU ONLY HIT BURST RUN COMMAND after you have eaten all the cake you have or have reached a full stomach. If you use the burst run command prior to this, the parwan will not work.
This is working as intended, and is not a coding thing. The parwan triggers a burst run that is totally separate from the burst run command![]()
Yes. I dislike immensely having to put pet away (sometimes having to wait to do that since I'd just come out of combat) and then tame and then re-call. This is my one real frustration with the new system.
I wish they would make the babies spawn at level 1-5 as before so that we didn't have to deal with the level issue, and then as soon as you stored them they revert to their adult level for the first call.
