First off I would like to say that I've played the game for quite some time, and I've never seen a mod that increased the amount of pets that I could have out at one time. But on my random vendor travels today I found a pair of boots. They were crafted by a player, they have 2 free sockets, but they have the mod: Additional Pets 1. I've never seen this before in a skill tape, which is what it would have to have been in. Is it rare? or new? or just something I've missed over the years. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, because I just created this account it wont let me edit. But here are the exact stats of the Item. And like I said, I havent seen this stat in CA/AA before.

Never seen this before. My suggestion, if you can afford it buy it and try it. It's possible it's an old mod that was taken out of the game (i saw a pair of old composite bootes that had BE enhancers in it, back when you could do that)... may be worth it if works.

It is a skill mod that has been non-functional for a long time. The boots won't do anything for you.

I saw a Player Screen Shot from about 2 years ago and the player had 4 large pets all laying down with their hands over their eyes as if they were bad.

there's nothing to say that those were all called (or controlled) by the same player. additionally, there HAVE been ways to call as many as eleventeen pets at a time, using exploits... perhaps the pets were ashamed of questionable player behavior?

And maybe the pets had been warned about the CU and were just afraid of being made into paper dolls that have no lifespan.

This is a really old mod. I happen to have a +1 additional pets CA sitting on the shelves in my house. I don't think it does anything. And if you really think about it, pre-CU it wasn't worth having the extra pet out. It would be nice if it really did work now thou

It's actually an old item, and as others have pointed out, it was nerfed long ago but, in the typical unprofessional fashion of SWG, the CAs were left in the game even though they had no function any longer.
As for the multiple pet screenshot, it means absolutely nothing. If I can get a couple of MCHs to help me, I can have nine CL 23 or below pets cavorting around me obeying my commands. The befriend command will do this for you.
