Droids can be, faction pets can't.

And just have all the CH's spam "attack!"

Another Tactic that you can try.....

Have all of the pets/droids Guard a target, such as the CH that is directing the pet army, or one of the pets owned by this CH.

If you watch the behavior of this command, when using it on a pet that attacks a lair, the pets put on Guard will often start attacking the lair on their own, without the main pet being attacked. This may or may not be applicable to PvP combat, however if the pet that this being Guarded hits pretty hard, there is the chance that the intended target will center their attacks on pet, which will ensure that the other pets automatically attack.

You can also use Befriend on multiple targets, if I recall correctly, along you to set up a few back CHs, in case the primary is dropped.

Two more things to consider....

Try having at least 2 people in the group with 0440 Medic, or 4000 CM. This creates the glorious cloud of multi-pet healing, as well as offering the chance to heal the entire group at once. Have these 2+ people set up a /bactaspray macro and follow the pets/droids around. This will make it look like they are in charge of the armada.

I'm not 100% sure that this one will work with with droids that are only befriend, like it does for droids that are grouped, but having multiple droids with Auto-Repair Modules may also come in handy. In grouped situations, a droid with an Auto-Repair module will 'heal' all droids that are in the game group, that are within range. This may or may not work with Befriended droids, and is problematic to test currently, with this function currenly being MIA due to the changes to the pet training system.

Making SWG more Star Warsy. One droid at a time.

Ok has anyone thought of trying this for 8 on 8 PvP?

Get 8 MCHs and have them all call 3 creatures with ranged attack, a faction pet, and a droid totaling 40 petseach sharing the same attack command. Now have all of the MCHsgroup the pets to themselves, then friend them all to 1 of the CHs. Now that all thats done have everyone else use their other profession mastery to keep 7 players on the other team busy whilethe person controling the pets hits 1 personwith his/her best attack while having the pets attack as well. Even if all the pets do only 70 damage a hit that would total 2800 damage in the first wave, then combine that with something like a riflemans headshot would make for over 4K damage to 1 person in about 4 seconds. Now rinse and repeat for the remaining 7 people.

The only real problem with this is actually finding 8 MCHs to try this with........

It's a nice idea but..

As far as I know Droids and Faction pets cannot be programmed to Befriend.

Also the single player control is the weak spot. As soon as the other side know who is controlling then that person will go down.

Ohh man can you imagine the lag that a bacta spray directed at all those pets would cause................
