I just opened my MCH account to try out the new CH revamp and am a bit confused on some of the changes. I understand that as you max the experience of your pet, it will learn a new skill and reset the xp.

1. BE pets....can they learn the skills as well? How about BE pets tamed before the pub?

2. What about the pre-cu pets, be and tamed, do their old specials still work? I have taken them out and they changed and took on the new style with armor and all and lost their major health and what not but they still show their old specials 1 and 2.

3. I know post-cu that people prefered the tamed pets to the be pets...is that still the case? Are be pets worth buying?

Thanks!!

1. yes and yes

2. I dont believe they still work... if they show up in your /train window for the pet.. then yes... if not.. no.

3. Both have pros and cons. Wild pets can have more specials tham bio pets, but bio pets can have more ham and they attack 2x as fast as wild pets. These are just a few that I consider high on the list for me.

My alt is a bio engineer and sales are good for me. I prefer bio over wild just cuz of the greater ham/damage/attack speed, but to each his own.

Caveat to Q&A (1): From my experience, pets from before Publish 21 get one less ability slot and they lack the 'free' ability some wild tames have. BE pets get one less ability slot and have no 'free' ability. Pre-21 BE pets get two less slots and no 'free' ability.

I do not have an extensive number of fully trained pets, and there are some conflicting reports, but so far this seems to be true for me and some others.

There are some advantages to BE pets like a faster attack rate and of course customization.

Bio-Engineered pets dish out WAY more damage and can have a lot more health than any wild pets.
At least for me, these 2 factors FAR outweigh any wild pets.

Wild pets do regenerate considerably faster than BE pets. But right now there is no timer on pet stims so I can heal a 10,000 health* BE pet in a matter of seconds. Until that is changed, it makes regeneration speed a non-issue.

*10,000 health requires use of the Vigerous Health special ability

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.
