Thread: Health or Armor?

As a MBE I've got a question on which direction to go in making pets

PET A

Health 6200-6700

Armor 4500ish (was told that is about 33 reduction in damage)

Damage max 400ish +-3points

PET B

Health 8000-8800

Armor 1000

Damage max 400ish +-3points

My theory they should take about the same amount of hit do to the armor/health factor. But PET A should be ably to recover faster after a fight.

Any input would be helpfully.

The armor reverting is true, however the question is interesting anyhow. I'd say that in general I'd take armor over health, both because of regen and also because it makes it easier to heal your pet to full health with pet stims or medical skills.

I tried to post before to this but guess it didn't stick lol.

I'd go with high regen then armor then health . Heath over 6k is luxury but high regen and high armor is requirement :-)...what makes those bosses hard the really tough ones...is it the heath bar ?....no it is the armor reducing the damge so the regen can recover it much more effently ....all highhealth would do is make it longer before the thing got squshed. Want practical examples look at the bane back spider or even worse go in to the night spider clan cave on dath go to the bottom and fight kin'day :-) he is a lvl 84 huge spider with a insane seemingly regen rate..but really it is the armor reducing your damage that makes the regen so efficieny. go with the saying a ounce of prevention is better then a pound of cure lol

I have to disagree on this. I don't think 8000 health is a luxury, I think its a requirement. (at least on high level pets 60+)

As stated before, armor is irrelevant since it is adjusted to a pre-set number after taming.
Regen on BE pets is incredibly slow. Right now you can heal an incapped pet to full health in a matter of seconds with pet stims so whats the point of high regen? Also, the DNA required to give high regen is also going to give the deed higher armor (a waste) and raise its CL.

Whats left? Health and Damage.

I'll take a 8000 health 440 damage pet over a 6000 health pet every time

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.

i would probrably go with a high health and damage lvl 70 BEd pet and use armor and regen since that will make it thoughfer, AND if u are a novice doc like i am u can buff it up with the 10% health bost and the embold pet(15%) so that will take it up to 10k health (if it has 8k health) just like an elite lvl 70, wich i think is the equivalent of a lvl 67 player with armor, then if u don't want specials in it add some health and it will become a beast

Armor is adjusted to a pre-set number depending on level as soon as the pet is tamed. So no matter what the armor says on the deed, its completely irrelevant.

So obviously the answer to your question has to be HEALTH!
