Thread: What would be a fair price for a non CH mount?

I was wondering about this, since the only way to turn the babies into mounts is having them fight.

I tamed and trained a Cu Pa mount for a buddy of mine. (Free for him, since he's a friend). But, it took me quite a while to train it so it could be mounted. I added two specials (fleet footed and thick skin). Hoping fleetfooted will increase mount speed one day.

What would you normally charge for something like this?

I charge 300-400K for fully matured and trained non-CH pets with full specials as requested by the client.

On my server this is the going rate for a Krayt weapon, so sensible players who have some idea of the effort required to make these things seem happy to pay that.

As an added bonus it helps get drive off the "can I buy a mount off you, I have 5K" crowd!

That's what I was thinking too. It's a considerable amount of time you need to invest in training the pet. Not like grabbing a few resources and presto - a swoop.

Tazz has done this once since pub 21, andhe charged 100k for a fully trained cu pa (FF1 and 2, intim attack, and thick skin)

Frankly, I think my customer got a serious bargain.

The price is far too low, considering that the training of this mount costs me not only time, but XP other than CH XP (since you get a flat amount of XP per critter kill and it's split among weapon, medical, and CH XP).

Since I'm an MCH and Tazz does not need to accumulate CH XP, even for FS purposes any more (have something like 1.5 million FS senses banked) this is quite a sacrifice.

i have set fees for this already of 100k for every L1 skill, 300K for every L2 and 500K for every L3, also charge a fee for the going out and taming it 3k per lvl or 3k + fee for the special be it an L1, L2 or L3 as add on, also charge 3k per command I teach it, 10k for training it to be a mount. i don't charge to name it if it has 3 commands already, but will charge normal fees to get it to 3 commands taught so able to name it...this is pretty standard fees i've been going with long before the CU ever hit,,, all but the L1-L3 ability stuff. i figure to find creatures with certain abilites on them then to get the random inate skill you need to get+ working with that pet for hours so it will teach it to you is worth it, i see inates as loot only items like CAs, or AAs. I've been selling well at these proces in the past . also consider were putting alot of stuff and time on hold to just lvl it enough to get the ability slots..last pet took me 3-4 days to complete, it was a lvl 10 female kai tok, it came with inate stunning strike, then added onto it marring storm L1, precison strike L1, combat agility L1, and haunted withdrawl L1. i feel a custom modied lvl 10 non CH pet is worth the 700k. This pet was a pet for a friend of a friend so really only charged him 300k for it, but had it been just anybody wanting this pet i didn't know , would have been charge the 700k

I was asked and I replied a million credits for a fully trained mount with imperilled feint L1 Vig health L1 L2 Hamstring L1. Most people did not seem adverse to thig getting both a snare and armorbreak that they could not otherwise have. You guys need to adjust your priceing seriously. I am calculateing off BH missioning. How much I could make in comparable time.
