Thread: Data on imperiling feint

Hi all,

I've found that imperiling feint L1 decreases the enemies defenses by 102 points. As noted in other threads, the L2 seems be exactly the same. I tested it and, in addition to having the same duration and L1 text when applied, it also does -102 defense. The state lasts 15 seconds and is easily reapplied before it expires.

How to test this yourself:

From this thread:

(Base damage - ((max+min)/2) - ((CL-TL)*(max-min)/30))/(max-min)/0.00066255 = difference in attackers accuracy and defenders defense

Wild animals have no innate defense. Hence the result without imperiling feint should have been my accuracy (+165). It was. With imperiling feint the result was 267. Hence the 0 defense of the animal was driven negative by 102 points.

Hope this is useful and perhaps Drashk would like to add this information to the stickied thread about the new specials system.

it stacks with other forms of armor break

Strictly speaking, I don't think that imperilling feint is an armor break. That idea seemed to have started early on TC with the specials publish. However, from what I've seen, I think it is more accurately described as a defense debuffer. Sorry if that's what you meant and I'm just being nit picky. I'm just trying to make sure we all know how it works.

it works like the pistoleer special warning shot. ws reduces the targets defenses by 80. i use this quite often - my pets do around 10% more damage to a CL80 target under warning shot. so -102 defense-debuff is not bad. i have to test if it stacks with warning shot.

---

one other number i testet out:

CL70 Reclusive Shear Mite (without Thick Skin 3) => 40% damage reduction = armour 4800
CL70 Shear Mite Soldier (with Thick Skin 3) => 56% damage reduction = armour 8000

so looks like Thick Skin 3 will give a 66% increase in armour rating.

PS: i guess even a jedi will be jealous over a 8000 innate battle armour

very nice! i was debating tonight whether to train my CL52 frenzied graul that had aggression L2 innate with thick skin L1 or not. i wanted to see the numbers first, so i trained thick skin L1 on a kamurith snapper that i don't intend to keep but he'd earned an ability slot by the time i learned his special. he's level 65 i think, and i was fighting CL61s with him ungrouped. he abosorbed 38% of the damage before thick skin L1, and 44% afterwards.

so i figured that was decent increase for my tanking graul, and taught him thick skin 1. he's CL52, against the same CL61s with him not grouped, his damage absorbed went from 28% before thick skin1 to 36% after.

so it looks like the CL52 pet benefited more, but i'm not a math expert and i don't know if it had to do with the mobs being above his level but below the CL65's level or the phase of the moon or whatever. i was just happy to see a nice increase

Good to see some infor on this. Just picked up a rancor the other day that had L2 innate. Was debating on wether or not to persue it for use on one of my three pvp cats... now it looks like I should.

Thanks for looking into it.. always good to have additional info on things.

I am still hoping to find that lvl 3 ability and am beginning to think the lvl 3 is only on creatures over 70
