I would like to sell mounted pets - there is a market for this, but I'm not sure the best strategy. I don't want to "spam" and i think city and guild emails is too limiting. Do backpacks on vendors promising the purchaser a mounted pet the best way to go?

Who in the forum has had at least a moderate success in selling trained and mounted pets. If this issue has been talked about to death in the forums, then somebody give me a thread link.

Thanks!

Having Master Creature Handler over my head attracts quite a lot of inquiries regarding mounts. I sold two on Saturday that way.

What I use to do was name it FOR SALE and leave out in a high traffic area. Usually if someone is interested they will examine it and send you a tell. Hope that helps.

(On bloodfin this works for me very effectively)

I goto Mos Eisley Tatooine, pull out three of my biggest pets (or whatever u want just pull out three) and i play with them. Also I have my master Creature Handler Tag up.

Ive gotten 7 orders this week for mounts like this. Add to that the word of mouth ive gotten which ive had other people come to me from, ive made quite a bit on finding training and selling mounts Hope that helps.

Its not selling thats the hard part all you need do is wear the tag by searchable and you will get 7 or 8 tells a day. The real problem is that most people just want a kashyssk conveiance and nothing more. When you point out that not only do you train but must combat the pet also some catch on that its not a cheap enterprise.

In other words they are looking for something that goes for 15k even though its going to have stuff like armorbreak and self sacrafice on it. The net result is you will get request but nobody who is going to even pay you break even for your time and effort.

You took the time to master ch you took the time to learn the abilities you took the time to find and train the pet. You deserve to be payed well for the service. Do not be gulled into selling cheap wait till someone sends a tell about buying and actually comprehends the advantages of haveing a creature tank damage dealer or special dealer. My first question off the mark now is do you understand the new creature system. When I get a negatory i tell them how to alt tab out of game and the appropriate threads to read because until they do they have no idea what they are buying and why its expensive.

Question to all: What would you consider a fair price for:

- Finding a non-CH pet and leveling it + giving it abilities

- Finding a pet which can be converted from baby to adult at the CH Trainer (e.g. Kaadu)?

-Leveling a BE-Pet

- Other services, like teaching standard commands to Varactyls etc.

Having a CH tag up and being searchableare always good ways to be discovered by those seeking out a CH for pet training.

I've been in out of the way places, like Wayfar, just training the latest batch of TTR candidates in spatial and someone will walk up and ask questions and inquire about the possibilty of me finding a particular beast for them.

As for out of the blue inquiries about non-CH mounts, I'll explain that I'll do this for a price, and the minimum is 150k, which includes finding the pet, leveling it up, and training as a mount. I tell them it will take a least a day to do this for a non-CH mount. I also give them a littleprimer on the basics of the new CH system so they understand why I'm asking for a healthy chunk of change for a mount.

Some new players balk at this (they don't have the money) but veterans often don't even blink. The other day Sio delivered a dwarf bantha before the promised time and the client paid an extra 50k and was very pleased indeed with her new dwarf bantha mount.

Just having pets out in a high traffic area (like Mos Eisley, the Mining Outpost on Dantooine, the entrance to the starport in Theed) will generate some interest.
