Thread: Do you need to be a Creature Handler to get the Bolotaur from the Genosian quest on Kashyyyk?

A friend of mine is doing it now, he's not a ch. I would have to say that anyone can do it.

Yeah it starts in kash with the creature in the cage by the tree house. You have to go to The Geo labs and inone of therooms there is a container on the floor with the Deed in it. I did it with my M/swords toon.

The creature in the cage is a Geonosian. 
No you dont have to be a CH to get a bolotaur, just have to be able to run fast
If your not a CH however your bolotaur will only be a mount and have no commands attached to it
P.S. All the smileys are meant to show im not trying to be derogatory in anyway

Reason I ask is that I got the quest from the Geonosian, and he finally told me about the lab on Yavin and to get the bolotaur from the mag-seal box. Now my quest journal reads "find the lab on Yavin 4". I've found it, and when I go to the box, I get no option to use it (trust me, it's the right one). I was trying to think of what I might have been doing wrong. Does anyone know; since my journal says "find the lab", do I have to get some type of "mission complete" upon arrival at the lab and then go down to get the bolotaur? Anyone else have this problem?

The previous comment about it not having any specials is correct...BUT, if traded to a friendly CH they can train it for you, and as long as you dont alrady have 2 pets in your data pad youll be fine.

Did you talk to the scientist to the right as you enter the cave/lab?

Yep. Talked to him until he gave me the door code, "32281". I've gone in and out of that stupid room so much I have the code memorized now.

should be a case/cabinet to the left of the door immediately inside the room. Inside the cabinet should be your egg (deed).

Yes, I know. I've been to that box probably 20 times now. I only get the "Examine" option when I hold my cursor on it. Believe me, I'm going to the right box.

Sounds like a bug then. Only three suggestions now, contact a CSR or I think you can reset your quests with a planetary record keeper. I do not know if this resets all quests though. The other thing is to check the quests board for more information. Sorry I could not help you more.
