Thread: Canceling Account (Ko-aIri)

This post is meant for Ko-aIri, for the most part.

I've been holding onto my account in hopes of seeing a change to the system, especially with your updated post on the top CH issues, but to be honest, I'm seeing NOTHING happening because of it. Given the length of time we've supposadly had the DEV's 'attention', I've seen no changes or announcements made. The new pet training is great, but how you must go about this extremly long trial, even after mastering CH, is just wrong.

I've been playing Ultima Online again. Though it doesn't have as much as I want in a game, as far as positive interaction between players in an ongoing basis, they have CONTENT that is worth aiming for. Taming was my first profession in UO, and CH was my first and only profession asside from Bio-Engineering in SWG. In short, I just don't have fun anymore playing as a CH in SWG and I have no intention of trying to become another combat profession. As a BE/CH, mastering the classes was not the end of the journey.

Given the gas prices and my 240 mile trech between colleges per week, I just don't have the cash on hand to keep my accou7nt active and wait for you DEV's to correct your mistakes. This new 'CH-Upgrade' was announced as a suprize, and I have no doubt you DEV's are holding back information about another possible suprize, but I can't afford to take that chance and am thusly ending my account. It's near the end of the month, so it won't be long before my account becomes innactive.

If there is a possibility of recieving any posotive feedback from this post, I'd hope to stay, but I just don't see anything good happening anywhere in the near future with this game.

This seems stupid, but can someone tell me how to cancel my account? This games amazed me to no end by giving an out-dated meathod for canceling a subscription.

Click on "my account" at the top of this screen. Enter your password. Click on billing information. On the left side of the screen is a list of options. Select subscriptions. You will see your subscriptions and the status of them (active and/or inactive). Click on the subscription you wish to edit. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and you will see cancel account. Click that.

They don't want you to cancel your account so they made it much more difficult to find.

Sorry, had to laugh at this bit "Given the gas prices".
You live in a country that has govenment subsidised fuel prices,
try living over in the UK where the prices for fuel are huge.... 90p upwards per Litre and then come back to me and complain about fuel prices.

Anyway, keeping it about your cancelation of the account...
Yeah, i agree the grind up on the pets is ridiculous to the extreme and does need change, this isn't going to make me cancel though as the game is still fun and i enjoy myself, i'm not and never have been a grinder so its taking me a length of time to train up pets and learn the abilities. I'm sure that one day something will be done about the creature xp grind but as for when? Soon would be nice, but doubtful.

psst... your gas prices are insane because you have a socialized medical system, which the U.S. does not have. The money to pay for such a systemhas to come from somewhere. The bulk of the price you pay is taxes.

I cancelled fora few months hoping in time some of the bugs would get ironned out. I came back just recently to see if this were the case. What I found was a server population that is markedly reduced, pets that I can easily outrun on foot, and a grind that makes Jedi look easy. I don't blame him for cancelling. I would not be surprised to see him come back eventually though, even if it's just to see if things have changed.

Yes. Sad as it may be, I'm feeling the sting now that grinding is not fun anymore. I am all for grinding a pet in order to teach it abealities and such, but the fact that you HAVE to grind a pet in order for it to grow in size is what is putting me off. Not to meantion the amount of time it takes in order to achieve the teachable abealities. I have no doubt this will be easier on newer CH that are most likely grinding pets anyway to get their own CH XP, but spending several weeks of grinding eventually got to me. I am a BE/CH, so I have to rely on groups in order to actually 'grind', but this also negated my pet sales since a majority of my sales came from Non-CH.

What was fun for me was waiting outside the Mos Eisley Starport while I announced my services with my CL63 Squall. I'd take custom ordersone day and fill them out the next. I was not required to set at my computer while my character macroed the announcement either, so it did not cut into my real life.

I currently attendtwo Mon./Wed./Fri. class at one college, andthree Tues./Thurs. classes at the other. The distance between these two colleges is 60 miles, making a round trip 120 miles. One round trip takes 60% of my tank, and I lose another 10% while I make my rounds in the city my M/W/F class is at. If I could obtain a source of income, I could handle this. However, this city is one of many that refugies have gone to and finding work is not easy with so many slots filled. Currently waiting on a "My aunt knows this guy who owns a shop..." case, yet I've not recieved any word from him regarding the position.

In short, I can't afford to wait. I can't afford gas prices, living expence, ect... AND this GAME at the same time. If I am not playing this game because it is not fun anymore, then why pay for it?The point I'm trying to get acrossed is that Ko-aIri states allot of possibilities, but it has been quite a while since CH has seen anything big happen since they installed this apalling jedi grind to CH. The latest change is that they were removing the petcall timer, buttossingarounda fewindividual repairs does nothing to help the bigsituation anytime soon. I'm not just 1 CH who is disgusted with the direction this game has taken, and the DEV's need to either show they realize this or do something to hold up their Customer Policy end of the agreement.

Anakin: Master, I think my lightsaber is getting dull. Its not doing nearly as much damage as it used to.
Obi-Wan: O.k. when we're done showing the youglings around the temple, we'll stop by the bazaar and you can buy a new crystal. I hope you've got a couple million credits saved up for this.
Anakin: WHAT?!!?? I don't have THAT kind of cash!
Obi-Wan: Well you could try sharpening it on these younglings. I've got a headache and all their questions are driving me NUTS!
Anakin: hmmm.... Sharpen my lightsaber on younglings...... hmmmmmm.....
Obi-Wan: uh, that was a joke Anakin. I'll spot you the cash for a new crystal THIS time, but next time you're on your own.
