I'm trying to gain xp as a ch, so I tame as much creatures as I can. My question is this: Can I sell the pets ch and non-ch at the bazaar? I tried it several times and it doesn't work.

no pets in the data pad can not be sold on the bazaar or through a vendor only through trade or the transfer comand.

nnnntnnnxgggggggggggggggggggggg)
To Upgrade something implies that you are adding too, enhancing, and fixing the thing that you are upgrading. The CU does not do this, it is not adding too, enhancing, or fixing the combat system that is in place, it is replacing the innovative SWG system with the generic one used by its competitors. Be honest and stop calling it the CU, Call it the CR (combat replacement) instead

They are Bio-engineered pets.

I'm pretty sure the ones I bought last night weren't (to grind XP while I was waiting for the shuttle) - level 5 mini-critters, kaabus and stuff. Couple of hundred credits each.

One thing I noticed was that once or twice, when I've tamed an animal but not yet trained it, I've noticed there'ssome kind of tool icon instead of the pet, in the datapad...the control device, I think. I might try experimenting with some low-level pets to see if I can drop them onto the terminal or something.

Anyone else got any clues?

They are bio-engineered, I'm telling you. For a start, you CANNOT put datapad pets on the bazaar and Kaadus are Cl 12 or 14, not 5.

Fair enough.

Still it would be nice to be able to, eh?

Sure it would be, I like the taming and I would very much like to sell the pets I don't keep. Maybe that's going to change in the future?

Very unlikely.

Any out of the datapad selling system for already tamed pets will be used as a storage mechanism, and this is the last thing the devs want.

Huh? didn't quite catch that. Anyway I hope they put the transfer command back at Management 4 and make it so it makes creatures deedable, or at least so they can be sold out right on a vendor, either of which should be to hard since items already can be re-deeded and others can be sold straight from the datapad.

If pets can be put up on a vendor, out of the datapad, it will become a way for you to exceed the hard limit of 24 pets. How? You put up your mottled wrix on a vendor, put an outrageoud price on it that no one will pay, and you can have the mottled wrix there in storage off your datapad, not taking up space that you can now use to store a newly tamed mantigrue screecher.

This WILL happen if any out of the datapad means of preserving a pet for any purpose comes online.

We've been asking for a method to retire pets as furniture for a long time...one way conversion to a deed, basically, witn no chance to tame. I'd do this with one of my early pets in a heartbeat and get it off my datapad; it's a CL 12 wrix I used for early XP grinding that I've grown quite attached to. I'd love to turn her into a house pet, even if I could never have her out with me in the wild again.

I don't see that as being much of a problem, right now you can be a Bio-Engineer and a CH and put as many bio-engineered pets on vendors as you want to beat the cap. Plain and simply tho a vendor isn't very efficient, I mean 20+ pets is already enough, are people really so worried about the cap to put up with the time and energy it will take to run to your vendor just to change a pet? I think most CH have pets to use them, I cant see running back to your vendor every few minutes happening too often and when it does what problem or grief does it cause, flying back to naboo or somewhere from dath to take a pet of the vendor just to beat a cap? The benefit of that wouldn't be worth the time, but being able to sell pets legitimately on a vendor would be.

Non-tamed (in deed form) BE pets are not the issue.

Tamed pets, which are far beyond the deed stage, are.

Once a CH tames a BE pet, it cannot be put on a vendor now. To allow a tamed pet to be put on the vendor is to allow offline storage for tamed pets, and the devs have been quite clear on this point: ain't going to happen. When droid datapads were fixed back in August, CHs discovered that they could store tamed pets on a droid datapad, and suddenly DEs had a lot of business from people with grauls in tow.

The devs immediately went to work on this "bug" (note: not on all the other bugs that have been in the game since this time are still around, like the pathing bugs) that was allowing CHs to store waaay more 'live' pets than the devs intended them to have at their command, even in a situation where the pet is in offline (not immediately callable) storage.
