Thread: TESTCENTER CHs, can you help us? Are they really extinct?

Apologies for the post here and on TC forums, but I think we all want this info.

One of the newest changes for publish 7 is the one allowing a scout/ranger who can see the Tamable: Yes/No stat to know if the creature EVER spawns babies. This will cement once and for all if these creatures are truly extinct or just so uber-rare we have never found one.

My TestCenter character is not advanced enough to have this skill, as I am not even above novice scout. Anyone willing to check on some of our most-desired "extincts" (Frenzied Graul, Merek Harvester, etc.) and see if the stat says "Tamable: Yes" would be fantastically appreciated. Please post here with info, including screens if possible to quell the skeptics.

We want to know once and for all... are they gone? Or are they out there... somewhere?

Sure, Iwill checksome out(I have been on Corellia trying to see if I can pull pets while on the Corellian Corvette). Based on my testing Naboo/Corellia, things that you'd suspect aren't tameable pretty much aren't (gurrcats, vrelts, rogue falumpasets, anything associated with an NPC faction). Did you want me to hit Endor first, then?

Sorry that I didn't see this post earlier.



I started a character on test a few days ago. Mostly to get to the point where it could search the planets to finally put to rest the ongoing questions that we all have had about what's actually tameable and justan impossiblyrare or just a pipe dream.


But Igot caught up in the fun of devoloping a new character, sorry.


I did go to Enbor today( 12k to my characters name )and I posted earlier some finalchoices that the devs made about the final crappinessthat CH petsIwould have to presumethat they want this profession the stand for.


It's late, had a few. Wish I have had few more after seeing where this profession is not going.

good job vert, though im quite disappointed with the results so far (you can find king/queen mereks around the marauder stronghold)

wait so are the ones listed in the earlier post tamable? There are frenzied grauls on dantooine?

I know those are only Endor creatures so far, but that list doesnt bode well... whatever happened to:


Another benefit to all of this is that players will be seeing more types of babies spawning. Before, the number of baby spawns was limited due to balance issues and now we can open that up. In addition to making more types of babies spawn, we're also going to add "rare" baby types that spawn very infrequently. We are also increasing the number of stored pets for master-creature handlers.


Some previously tamable creatures will be made tamable again, some will be rare. Some never-before-tamable creatures will be made tamable, and some of those will be rare.


Below level 50, creatures which are never tamable will be the exception rather than the rule. Creatures 60+ will be very, very rare.


I will leave everyone to make up their own joke involving Thunderheart and the Iraqi Information Minister etc. etc.
