I would like to express an idea to all the Handlers out there. I want you to let me know what you think. I wanted to get as many Handlers that I can to do a fair. Something like a job fair. It would have several Handlers there to show off pets answer questions and in general get the word out about our profession. There could be demonstrations of several kinds. Giveaways of Non-Handler pets and other prizes. I would a great player sponsored event. It could be set up in an out of the way place away from cities to reduce the amount of lag if we get a good turn out. So what do you think?

That sounds like a great idea to me. How would you determine which server to have it on, though?

Pet Fair & Exp Demonstration Ideas

Petting Zoo: Show of various pets as babies and allow folks to see them.

Mounted Pets: Show off every mountable pet in SWG. Do some coordinated displays using the get patrol point command mixed with some pet tricks. Something kind of like the Lipizzaner Stallions is what I am thinking of. Mounted pet racing. Set up some kind of small course just so folks can see them running around.

Pet Warfare: Show off pet’s specials and their effects against other pets and players. We would need volunteers of course. You know something like showing what plague strike, poison, and other attack effects that pets have. Pet Vs. Pet dueling with betting and prizes on the outcome of different matches. You challenge the pet fighting. You pay to fight a the pet of your choice from our stable. If you beat them you get a prize. There would be different categories like hand-to-hand, melee, and energy weapons.

Ask the Master: Various Master Handlers will be available to answer questions from prospective Handlers and those folks just curious about it. Some would be doing macro lessons about everything from taming, pet feeding and care, armor, and anything we can think of.

I have just got my Bull Rancor so would love an event to showcase it along with all my other rare pets. Maybe combine it with a tournament and have a expo where handlers can showcase their pets to win prizes. Bio engineers could also be apart of this with bio pets duel and bio pet expo.
