Hi, I started a new character back in september and finally got master creature handler a week or two ago. During the grind for CH I only used the pets I bought or the babies ihappened to stuble across. At first i tried to tame everything in sight regardless of what it was. I would train and release if I didn't want to keep them. I have been using a pair of razor cats with 59% kinetic reist for more serious hunts. I just started to get into the rare creatures. My first target is the swamp stalker. My main character stumbled across one in the south of naboo near the gungan point of interest and it spawned a baby, which disappeared before my CH could get there. I kinda got the impression that it would be rather easy to find a baby since my first experience with a swamp stalker produced one. Well, two weeks have passed and not a single baby since. I read up the guides and the swg creatures.com site. I have waypoints to the sightings listed and my sightings. I find about two or three spawns a day, but never a baby. Always 4 adults. Is there something I am doing wrong, or is this just how it is?

No, this is the way swamp stalkers work. A single creature spawns, usually four adults in a row at the same spot. The rarity of course is every so often a baby will appear instead of an adult.

So you just have to keep trying by killing off the adults until a baby shows up.

Sio Babble MBH/MCH/Cabana Boy; master of Tyson, the GNORT OF DEATH

thats why its supposed to be very exciting to see a baby of specific creatures, they really are THAT rare.

have been looking for a gps the last weeks on farstar and didnt even find an adult spawn, so i would even be excited to see one of those again

I have also been scouting for a GPS and haven't even seen an adult yet. I figured that since I see 3 or so spawns of swamp stalkers a day I should have seen a baby by now. I have killed about 20 spawns with only 1 baby, and the baby disappeared before I could get my CH there. Oh well, I'll keep hunting. I have the almound something food, is that neccessary to tame the swamp stalker? Or will a mster be able to tame without it? Basically, does the food make a difference?

The food increases your chance to tame. You should also look into getting BE'd taming clothes which also increase your chance to tame. They are a must for high level aggressive creatures like the bull rancor (not that I've found my baby yet...).

I just started to look for BE clothes for taming. I am on Lowca and there doesn't seem to be many sources for CHBE clothes, or pets and pet stims. Its gotten a little better recently but you really have to search. I am probably better off custom ordering.
