hi,
anyone else have the problem that your pets wont do the special animations anymore if you /pet , /hug ect. them? i know it might take a few tries till the pet sits down or lays on the ground, but even after 20 x /pet it would just stand there, doing nothing special...
is it just me or is that feature broken...?

I've had sorta the same problem. I'd /pet my rancor and he'd just stand there, not doing anything. But then I'd give him Trick1 and he would do his awesome stomp, just like if he was sitting. It was like he was actually sitting, but it just didn't show it. /shrug

Try "/social pet up" or "/social pet down" or something like that. I haven't done this in awhile but i recall it working if you gave the full command. Forgive me for not being more specific as I can't remember exactly what it is.

I haven't seen this problem; my pets are still doing their animations, but only if I do the /petting; others can /pet all day long and my pets won't respond. This was done in order to fix the /summon grief that cropped up a few months ago.

critters will only respond to the / commands of the onwer. This was the fix to the /summon madness.
