Thread: WOOT!! the search is over..the BULL is mine

as many of you know, i have been searching for over 700 missions and countless hours..today..while between missions, i see another pile of rocks..
the only other person i know to have tamed one on shadowfire is pem..i note this because he started chatting me out of the blue on the previous mission...had to mention that..anyhow on with the story...
usually i am meticulous with wild liars, letting tham free spawn 4x, tap once, tap agin, lair over..this time i figured i'd beat on the brat with a baseball bat (old ramones reference, for those under 25)...my technique is to hit a couple master headshots, draw them out and send in the tank and safely finish tham off..was running around with 5 rancors on or around me, finised the last one and saw the green dot green, circle by tghe pile of rocks, 60 m away..it has to be a rancor, right..i kill a hundred rancor babies a day..well a lot any how...i tab on it and i see the elusive bull baby..my heart starts pounding through my chest..i can't type..having trouble opening my backpack and getting the almound out of the case..remember to unequip the tenloss..make sure i'm masked, get these stupid windows off the screen, ect
so i go in to tame ans an adult bull spawns 38m from me..i figure my mask scent will break for sure..first try i see the green letters..i open my datapad to be sure...it's there..didn't even do my next mission...pem showed up an watched me train it..boy they are dumb..lol
very happy now...now the pig of tat..and i'm done.....the first set

Very very cool!! so glad you finally got one! Didn't I post somewhere about how you would get one in the next couple of weeks? Ah if not I was thinking it...

Congrats on the tame!
I need to work on my aggresive creature taming skills as for some reason I tend to run thru spawns like a bull in a china shop and by the time I realize a baby has spawned its because my weapon has already clocked it upside the head and it hit the floor dead. Don't know how long it took me to tame my first baby rancor and baby gnarled rancor because I kept killing the babies ... hehe.
