Just wondering why I can't find anything today. I haven't had any problems the entire time I was leveling CH or even after Master. I would usually find at least 1 in 5 tames. Can you only have a certain number of Pet Abilities learned? I was under the impression from reading the forums that you could learn all that were available.
Any ideas?
I played most of Sept 24th. I also encountered a rather frustrating special baby shortage on Corbantis server. I am 2/3'rds done - all known L1 abilites learned (sans pinning), looking for Intimidation L2 and Hunted Withdrawal L2 are my current goals with any L3 ability a nice bonus along the way. I currently have 3 L3 abilities learned, Precision Strike, Self Sacrifice, and Staggering Attack.
I spent at least 6 hours on Danthomir taming any reptilian flyer baby (and their variants) with only 1 new ability I needed found and it was Self Sacrifice L3. I also tamed a number Surefooted Brackesetts, Rhoa Kwis, Kimarouth lizard types, and 1 baby Rancor (no ability). It pains me to delete hard won creatures because I dont have room on my datapad for them and because Creature Handler's do not have the ability to deed their pets yet. I am keeping my hopes up.
In all, I found approximately 25% of my tames had a special, but one I didn't need. Most of the tames exceeded Level 65 and were recalcitrant and obstinant baby's with attitudes. I was attacked frequently for my efforts. I am equipped with almond krunchies, two BE garments with +25 taming bonuses, and Jawa Beer +8 mask scent on top of my Level 80 Mask scent ability. It usually took up to 10 taming attempts per baby.
I would be supportive for a "change" where the level of the creature determines the level of the special instead of the randomly generated outcome. Getting the L3 specials is a crap shoot. I have better luck gambling in the Casino in Mos Eisely.
