as i've only dabbled in creature handler and recently dropped it, i don't read this board too often, so if this has been proposed, i apoligise for wasting those precious seconds of your time......

many creature handlers have their datapad full most of the time (i never had an open slot) and often times i would want a pet trained and my master creature handler friend was full as well....... also, as a bio-engineer and some creature handler, i would often get requests to train pets and would have to trade pets, one at a time, just to train it because my datapad was full

what i'm proposing is a new consent command, similar to the droid painting, or how vehicle painting might have been

just type /consent <creature handler's name> and they can train all the commands for your pet for you instead of having to transfer or trade it

does anyone else think this is a good idea?

I think thats how the befriend command worked before it was broken.

Befriend is broken again?

Anyway, even if using befriend does let someone else teach a creature, the creature needs to know the befriend command already to be able to use it. And if it knows befriend, it probably knows the others.

That sure would be a time saver! My datapad is always full (and I'm MCH). What I have to do is trade one of my pets to the person who wants his pet trained and then get it traded back to me after the training. Some form of /consent command would be nice. That or let us have a "corral" type of facility that has been discussed in other threads so we could keep some extra spots open on our datapad.

I haven't used it lately so I do not know if it is working now. I remeber sometime around publish 1 or there abouts that there was kinda a griefing tactic when there was a verbal command to release the pet and the person who was befriended to could release the pet. Come to think of it I don't think you could train new commands with the pet befriended to another CH.

i've heard of the "corral" idea as well.... it would be really cool to have a garden decorated with your tamed piket or something

i like the idea of consent and it would save a lot of time and help against any grief other players could cause (although i've never seen it, one could easily just quit after the mch traded you his bull rancor so he could train your kaadu as a mount)

it would just be a tremendous time-saver and work much more practically than the current system for people to get their BE pets trained (and aspiring ch's to get their pets trained in all commands as well)
