the longer a server has been up without a restart, the more spawns are around on busy planets, of course. and on dant and dath (at least on my server), there get to be these huuuuuuuge long lines of all kinds of critters, spreading 256m across my radar. driving around dant today in a baby taming mood i saw one of these lines and thought "yuck what a mess" but then i looked around, and there werequite a fewbabies in there. so, i parked my car a bit away, took a deep breath, and dove in. 6 successful tames, 4 with L2 abilities i didn't have yet yay!!
there were pirates and such that attacked me, but in comp armor from my other prof (except for the pants, had my taming ones on) i just stood there and took the abuse once i'd started the taming cycle. soon as i got success, /stopf and run to the car, drive off aggro, rinse repeat. i don't recommend this if your defenses are low and you don't have armor, but if you do, might be a good place to check
the one on dath is probably too crazy, lots of green and blue cons there even at CL 80, but the one on dant worked out great for me tonight.

Yeah, I have a screenshot of hundreds of gaping hunters along a boundry line. It is rather beautiful.
One bit of advice though -- don't accidentally double-click a mob. It really hurts.
