If you have a lvl 70 pet with the max possible damage output and you train it with Marring Storm will it become uncallable?

All permanently modifying abilities besides vigorous health are bugged I believe, but whenever it does work that does present a good question....I don't think the pet stat forced modification system would include those abilities though or by now something probably would of been invalidated for Vigorous health, but I could easily be wrong.

I've got a pet with innate marring storm level 2, and a pet of the exact same type with a different innate special. The one with marring storm does have a higher damage listing in the datapad, and does hit for more in testing as well.
That being said, specials don't adjust CL, so training a pet with any special will not result in it being uncallable due to slipping over CL70. I don't know of any other reason why the pet would be uncallable.

He might be reffering to the 499 damage cap for all pets. If marring storm pushies the damage past 500 (which gives you an invalid stats message) would the pet become invalid and thus uncallable?

The 499 limit is what I am refering to. Has anyone tried training a pet in Marring Storm that has this limit? Were you able to call it? If Marring Storm does not make it invalid then a BE pet with Marring Storm 3 will have stats above 550 or even near 600.

Aha, never knew of such a cap. Interesting. I've got some BE pets with high damage that I plan on teaching marring storm (at least 1 and 2) to, so I'll keep an eye on it.

Hmmmm... That is an interesting question. And I'm going to have to assume that they will become uncallable.
Why is there a 499 cap anyway? Nobody knows.
I'm going to check this right now. (If I can come across a pet with marring storm)

There is a cap because of how the CL system calculates pet health/power/regen on a curve of CLs, to the point where a value in one stat will always equal at least such and such CL, and the difference between 499 damage and 500 damage always equates to greater than CL 70 on anything.

You're saying that anything over 499 health would be over cl70?
I've tested this myself and it is absolutely not true. You can make creatures with well over 500 damage that are well under CL 70.

In fact I think its very possible to make a 500+ damage creature thats under CL60. I've got a CL55 with 480 damage right now.
Its just another way the developers continue to bend us over.

Yes you can make them but upon future callings they get hit with the "This pet has invalid stats and can not be called" error message.

It shouldn't cause the pet to be invalid and should add to the damage output reguardless. With that said it probably would make the pet invalid and/or do nothing for damage output.

Probably is the key word here. No one knows for sure yet, so untill someone can train his ability to a BE pet with 499 damage no one will know for sure.
