Thread: Ok we have determined most if not all of the new specials What about the old ones?

Rangers cannot see specials at the moment. From the CU until Publish 21 they saw nothing. Now they see a useless string of text. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, but none of us are holding our breath...
Prior to the CU there were a couple of area attack specials with three affects. It sounds like maybe the mite still has this. Whether we can learn it or not I cannot say, although I doubt it.

The old special "Blind" that you list above is indeed one of the NEW specials that a CH can learn from his pets. It is now called "EYE GOUGE" the description says it causes the target to be momentarily blinded.
The old "Stun" special is also in the list of NEW specials. It is now called "Staggering Attack"
The OLD "Dizzy" special I believe was completely removed from the game by the CU and replaced by the "Stun" specials. Both for creatures and players.

Dizzy is still in the game, but as with all states does nothing. I havent seen a pet special that can do dizzy.

Most of my pets that had specials pre-cu (that I recall) still have special attack 1 and special attack 2 listed, with the special. Well, the mantrigues screecher doesn't (natural) but my kimo still has both his, my gurreck still has dizzy strike listed (BE'd I think)

One time when I was Dizzied it told me I was too dizzy to get up :/. But KD recovery worked the second time I hit it...

A Ranger friend suggested that I tame a Bloodseeker Mite Queen as they exhibit 3 special attacks.
These attacks are the old school attacks vs the new ones introducedinpub 21.
I do not have the ability to see these as my scout skills are too low but again a ranger can see the 3.
They are Dizzy, Stun and Blind, again these are the old school effects that pets used to have and seem to have re-appeared recently.
I know the Bloodseeker mite queen uses these specials (all 3) from recent personal experience.
I found after a long spell the bug I was looking for, I was sad to see that this pet does not have any of the new abilities.
I brought the pet out for my Ranger friend to see and she confirmed the 3 attacks are listed.
This long explanation brings about a few questions...
Do the "old school" specials manifest in the pets with the new abilities?
Can you learn the "old school" abilities? It seems not possible at this point.
Do the old pet favorites have their "old school" specials back? Mantigrue screetchers do not at this point...

While I have not seen (or have had a Ranger look) any of the old specials on my new tames, they are still listed on my old BE pets. They do not work though. Not listed in the training window. Odds are they have not finished removing old code.
