OK, im MCH and I cannot tame anything unless its below about level 55.. anything higher and I go through the tame routine and "You ail to tame the creature" comes up. I tried no less than 20 times on a Merek Harvester baby (level 58) and a Boar Wolf baby (level 65) and failed every time.
I have +33 BE taming clothes and +17 food.. what gives???

Basically - it is harder. I have many fails, then the baby attacks me and I have modded clothes which give me +66 bonus over my MCH ability.
Gone are the days of a reasonable chance of success on high level creatures, so imagine how easy those level 3 abilities are going to be to learn.

I've found that Masked Scent seems more necessary now for the high level tames. Fortunately it's been a bit more reliable recently. It still breaks into agro occassionally but not nearly as much as it was since the launch of the CU.

Well these are all low enough to be gray cons so they dont agro even if I walk up to a nest of them. But the babies are being a real pain to get.

Well yeah, I'm CL80. Everything I can tame is grey to me but, I still find I need Masked Scent to stop the train of failures.

+25 from clothing is still the maximum. Food will add on top if it.

I think some babies are just plain bugged. Last night I spent half an hour trying to tame a lowly cu pa baby. I finally gave up, killed the cu pa baby which happened to spawn another one that I tamed on the first try.

BE clothing may be bugged![]()
I noticed that sometimes when I wear my +25 taming wookie hoodie-thingy I can not tame vicious animals (I get the "You can't tame this"), but when I take it off I can tame them.
Also Ackhece the Rifleman corr says thatsomemods on BE clothing are just plain broken (It's one of the rifleman issues) so maybe our taming mod is broken as well?

QFE and I am running +25 BE clothing to both wild and viscious, 7 attempts last night to get a lurking angler. My son without clothes took over 50 attempts on a stoneskined Hannadak.

I too run around in a Wookiee Sage's Hood +25 taming wild & vicious creatures, with the wookiee bonus of course. It just seems luckier with Masked Scent, I guess. I'll have to scrape up some food buffs next and try them.

+25 Taming hat and Almond Crunchies and +25 Mask Scent gear definately made a difference for me... I haven't had to give anything more than 5 tries since acquiring these items to use.

I don't use anything and was on Yavin IV the other day, tried taming a giant greckle Bat CL 63 (I believe that was the type of bat), and spent 10-20 times trying to tame it, ran a few times, kept my masked scent on, finally I gave up and went to a nearby angler hatchling baby (CL 67)and on the first try BANG the creature has been added to your datapad. The sweet part is it had the skill I was after thick skin L2. It just doesn't make any sense except to keep on plugging away and run like hell when you don't succeed so you can try again.
By the way are your tameing modified cloths from SEA's or BE tailored?
