Creature Handler Archive

This is the one creature I've wanted more than any other since I saw the Tamable: Yes flag after the CU. With the fix to the spawning system in Publish 21, I'm proud to say that it's possible to acquire one. As you can see from my radar, this one was quite near a Gorax (check the yellow con aggro).

Got it on the first tame attempt. Very nice innate special too.

Off to find a Blurrg Raptor now... just thought I'd share.

Ok, that is an elite pet. It is only lvl 61 and it has almost 7k health. I saw a wild adult yesterday and it had 6400 health. The level 65 varactyl only has about 6300 and a lvl 70 Craggy bolma has 6900. If it is not super elite, it is still better for its level.

ohhhh..L3 Lightning Reflex. Looks like a nice base pet for my super tank template.

ok so i have a question if your pet comes with an (L3) innate ability does it still need the first too levels?

Went out looking for one of these and found an adult, CL61. It had the "Elite" chevron watermark on its tag.

I killed it and waited a while, no respawn.

So Ko-a, did you come across yours as a baby or did you have to kill some adults?

Just a baby by itself. It's a single, solitary spawn... so I imagine a baby will be quite rare, I just stumbled on it while looking for other babies to tame.

Saw some adults later, they aren't Elite since Publish 21... but they do have increased health over typical CL 61 creatures.

Well, Elite pets were intentionally removed at Publish 21, and all adults of any tamable pet species are by design not supposed to be Elite. The adults I've seen today had no chevrons, and my baby when called does not either. If you're sure you saw an adult Stoneskin with chevrons after Pub 21, it's actually a bug... as weird as that sounds. Keldarin said no tamable pet type should be Elite in either baby or adult versions as the new system was designed to replace them.

I will be on the hunt for one this eve and take a screeny if I see any more with the elite tag, but I'd rather just find a baby. If that happens I will come back here to brag! Yaaayyy!
