Thread: I would really like a Vesp but can't find one! Advice please...

I've been travelling all over Lok for days now trying to find a Desert or Scavenger Vesp spawn but have had no luck. I've also tried mission terminals but no luck there either. Other websites like swgcreatures.com have been of no assistance as well.
Any advice on possible spawn locations for Vesps would be appreciated.

when i used to hunt them i also had trouble. someone told me they had missions so i tried that and after a few i finally got the ones i wanted. so my advice is keep at the missions. though, i am almost positive desert vesps are only wild creatures and not found in the mission terminal. all others like the vesp, vesp scavenger, mountain vesp, and gorge vesp will come from the missions though. i could be wrong for it has been a couple months since i hunted them. i also recall seeing a new one named the vesp hunter. saw him in the wild. good luck to you

Thanks for the help. I guess I'll need to cajole some people to group with me in order to get some vesp missions.
Anyone know roughly what level vesp missions would be?

We were doing gurk missions about 1200m NW of the outpost and saw a couple of vesp lairs last nite.

Back when I was routinely involved in Vesp hunts for fun, profit, and XP out the wazoo, the missions were just vesp missions, and the various flavors of vesp would spawn more or less randomly. Most of the hunting was done to the north of Nym's Stronghold in the mountains, so we rarely saw the desert vesp flavor, but lots of the other types. One of my current datapad residents, a gorge vesp named Leezard, was tamed out of one of those many mission lairs during those happy times. I also tamed bunch of scavengers, mountains, and just plain vesps...two of them were released on a beach near a CRC lair SE of Doaba back when releasing pets physically put them in the wild for a brief time before they despawned.

When I got my vesp he was in the Northwest corner of the map.
I seem to find most of my babies in the Northwest corner come to think of it. Might have just been a fluke, but if you still haven't found any head for that corner and seem what come s of it.

Dang, we were tripping over vesp lairs last night as we hunted kimos and gurks. We went to kimo town (on the POI tab) and saw at least 5-6 lairs/spawns on the way from Nym's. I'd suggest trying that path and if that failsthen try the mission route.

Hehe, after searching Lok for hours and hours last night, I needed to let off some steam so Ipicked upa couple of salt mynok missions to the north of the starport. On the way to the first mission I ran smack dab into a desert/scavenger Vesp lair!
I tamedone baby of each vesp type and am more than happy now.Hooray for dumb luck. It's funny (at least to me) that the moment I stop actively searching I found one.
