I can sorta understand the delays for calling a pet from your datapad, but what is the reason for the delay in storing them after combat? I can't for the life of me see how this could be exploited or whatever they are trying to stop, it just means more standing around doing nothing waiting to put my pet away so I can go to the next mission waypoint.

Can someone enlighten me on the rational for the store delay?

My guess would be to prevent you from using /peace to store a pet in the middle of a battle (i.e. right before it is about to incap and take a vitality hit). This way if you're losing the battle, you need to make a safe getaway to save your pet (just as you would for your player character).

If there wasnt that delay, four of my 'damaged' pets would not have died at the hands of BH marks high on steriods. In effect its just to make you more careful what you send your pets in to attack and to take better care of them
