Thread: where to find a greature sludge panther baby?
Never had any trouble finding GSPB while i was still hanging on Talus (before CH).
I guess the secret to my success is that i am too cheap to pay for shuttles and i drive everywhere ![]()
Also if you find a random spawn of adult GSP try getting rid of them and see if a baby respawns instead of one of the adults.
Check around SE of Dearic, near the Swamp. I don't think I can run more 200m without passing a pack of GSP's.
Back in the day, they were a little more scarce but now, thanks to the Dev Wildlife Conservation Innitiative, GSP's seem to flourish. Good Work Devs! With the ever-increasing rate of new player cities, it's nice to know that GSP's have still managed to find homes.
Now let's just see what you guys can do with the critially endangered Mire Marauders and more importantly, if we can possibly see some babies in the future. "Please don't let the M2 die! Give them to us! We'll give em good homes." 8-)
GSP's spawn all over Talus.
Quickest way to get a baby is kill any adults you see and wait for the respawn (doesn't need to be near a nest). Killed GSP's will generate a new spawn several minutes after the corpse is looted (about 5 minutes I think). Taming a baby will "kill the spawn" and won't generate a respawn.
MoB generation is "seasonal" - some days you will not see a single one of a particuar mob, other days the land is swarming with them. If you have no luck finding any GSP's one day, wait for the next server reset and try again.
Those were true back when I used to tame GSP's for resale before the CH changes - I used to be able to bag 4 or 5 an hour no problem (selling the buggers used to take the time!). I wouldn't expect them to have messed with the spawns since then as there is no reason to now - but what the heck does logic have to do with this stuff...................

don't know if this still holds true (i dropped my ch some time back) but it used to be that when you found a den, if it didn't have what you wanted (the babies) you could simply run 500 meters away, wait a minute or two, then return - & a new spawn was generated (the game couldn't be bothered to remember what was there the first time i guess, so when you returned it respawned). i used to collect graul maulers back in the day like this. one lair gave my trand ch on shadowfire 4 of them & then i ran out of room on the datapad. but you *cannot* damage the lair, or it remembers & you're hosed. again, tho - been awhile, don't know if this still works.
That still works too- us BE's use this all the time for harvesting DNA.
