Can pets be trained through commands rather than using the radial?

I got a few reasons why i'd rather use '/pet train store' than using the radials

(more and more often i don't get a train option in radials until i deselect and reselect my pet once or twice, always like the circle thingie animation inside the radial for 10 secs before menu finally shows up, and my mouse hand is starting to develop some

sort of athritis)

So is this possible?

Not sure. But yeah, this would be really helpful. Heh. i hate having to go back 5 times to the radial menu when my pet doesnt understand me

Not yet - it's on one of the many lists of "Things people would like".

I would love it - but I suspect they are a tad fearful of people figuring out an exploit/afk macro using it.

How would you afk macro it?

I can see fighting easy near town critters by using the nexttarget thingie, but how exactly would you target babies for taming?

And besides even if it was somehow possible for a macro to figure out if a target was a baby or an adult most live action CH have trouble finding enough of them the hard way

That wookie CH bonus does absolutely nothing for those thick headed babies needing to be taught a command 5 times before it sticks, so annoying to open the radial 5 times for 100 xp

And whats with CH XP anyway?

You get 100 XP for taming the lowest of creatures and then only like 133 for a CL 16, woopie do 33 extra XP

Off course that bonus gets down to 100/111 for training, do the devs know how many of those CL 16 i'd need to train for that 11XP to start make a difference?

Why not just give 10 x CL XP for this stuff.

This was in regard to training, not taming (there is already the /tame command).

Here is how it might work:

1.) Get a big bag of rubbish BE'd pets.

2.) Make a macro using the "train" commands to train all the commands one after another.

3.) Tame the babies in turnand fully train them using themacro - this should net you several hundred (rising to a thousand or so) XP with 2 button presses...........

Even if it's not fully AFK macroing it's pretty easy grinding!

For a time last year there was a bug that wiped all your pet commands when you logged off. Retraining using the radial I made at least 2 XP blocks through retraining all my pets when I logged back on - and this was through normal play, not deliberately "exploiting" the bug by repeated relogging. (You can make a lot of XP just by taming and training babies then releasing them)

This, I think, is what they may be worried about.
