So im a Wookiee CH who has Mastered CH, but now I am hurting as to what profession I should get next. I tried Carbineer and did not like it at all as a Wookiee, so im just checking to see what other Wookiees have done.

First, is a Melee class a good idea to have with CH? I mean, the whole point of CH is to have a tank, but if I join my pets in Melee, will the creature they are fighting turn and target me now rather than my pets?

If Melee is no good, what Ranged profession works best, Rifleman? dabble in Commando?

Thanks alot, your info means alot to a confused wook =D

Personally I can't imagine anything other than my Wookiee and his bowcaster., Sure there are better guns out there, but I love that darn thing.

definitely go Rifleman. true, the idea of a pet is to tank for you, so why not sit 50m away and pelt your target with gunfire while your trusty pet keeps it busy? i know that's what i'm doin, seems to work quite well.

i am also a master carbineer with creature handler, also some medic and i can solo things very comfortable .... i dunno why you didn't like carbineer (all the shots have been fixed and if you use the right combination or carbine with pets not a problem)

it's all what you wanna do with ch...i was a Ch / commando before they hit commando pretty hard with nerfs and all , that was pretty good for awhile

my recomendations of professions i liked with master ch : TKA master (fighting along side your pet can be awesome) , rifleman master (if you do not like to get that close in battle ), this will work with carbineer also

do not count these professions : master marksman is a usless profession in the game (weak) , commando with ch is not what it used to be (no DOT and cannot pvp with commando will die alot)

Hope some of this helps you on your journey

As a wookie, I mastered CH, carbineer, ranger, CM, and Dr. My last holo told me Fencer. So, I went out an got another set of swg disks and made a new character. He's human so he can wear armor and no fp penalty being imp... If i'd know about the no armor and fp penalty when i started back in july, I'd NEVER made a wookie character. The wookie is a Master Dr so he can buff and my apprentice point slave for leveling my now main character. I've heard the new armor coming out isn't going to be that great. If it is though, I MIGHT play him occasionally instead of logging him on to learn skills or buff my other character.

Im leaning toward Swordsman/Dabble in TKA for power boost, and dabble in Medic. And join my pets up close. The only reason is cause my hunting buddy is a Commando/Rifleman. I was thinking of trying something to help us be strong together.

So its down to Rifleman or Swordsman I guess to go with my CH skills.

I've found pistoleer to be pretty effective. Lots of weapon choices to match the resists you come up against is nice. You don't suffer too much for getting up close like a rifleman would, but you can still hit from rifleman distance.

What would be wrong with Master TKA (or Swordsman), using two pets with strong posion to help me fight? I mean, would this be good for fighting high end creatures or NPC's like Nightsisters? I could dabble a little in Medic too.

I'm a Pistoleer/Medic/MCH. While Pistoleer sucks, I have to be up close to what my pets are fighting, so I use good cheap stims from a doctor friend to heal my pets (instead of using expensive pet stims). It works quite well - I just wish pistoleer didn't suck so freaking much.

Uhm, cause healing stims don't have a range of 50m? (and uhm...you can't store your pet in combat anymore to keep it from dying)
