Thread: Q to CH Should I bother with Taming, or just get all BE Pets?

I was just curious if the pets we can tame right now are worth using compared to the BE Pets. And if not, do you all generally feel that the BE "fixes" the Devs are supposedly gonna implement to bring down the BE Pets power will nerf existing tamed BE Pets? I haven't been using taming to get XP...too slow. So I fight with them only. I'm working up Swordsman, so i share the tanking. So shoudl I just buy all my pets form BE or spend time looking around for tamed-only pets?

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?

The question is relative. I have both BE and wild animals in my datapad and I am a master BE master CH. I use a variety of animal combos depending on what I'm doing and who I'm grouped with.


Until the animal crafting system is fixed (I prefer the word fixto nerf since its more correct) a bio-engineer will be able to craft freak animals that look better than any wild animal you'll find. Its subjective of course. If you think an animal that has 4K HAM, does 30-40 damage, and vulnerable to everything is a tank then I'd say buy BE. That is the typical uber CL10 animal bio-engineers make. If you'd like an animal that can actually do some damage you might want to go wild. I had a wild cu pa for the longest time. Just make sure you have a lot of pet stims either way.
