you do not stand a chance against anyone in pvp
Yeah, I have to agree with maddog, an MCH can't cry much louder than anybody else about PvP ... yes we're mostly useless there, but then the whole system is so thoroughly broken that it's not a profession issue, it's a design issue for the entire game.
As a Master CH/Pistoleer, I'm thoroughly familiar with the truth that MCH is broken, but by no means alone ... the plea from CH's should not be "fix us", it should be "pay more attention to quality" ... in EVERY aspect of the game.
Quality matters ... it really, really does. Shiny new things like vehicle color customization are NOT going to make your customers forget that so many basic, fundamental systems in the game DON'T WORK.
If you don't think quality matters, I'm afraid time will show you that it does ... because the first MMORPG that comes along with a substantially higher level of quality control (and better management) than SWG is going to suck this game dry of customers in a flash. I wish it weren't so. This game's potential is enormous ... but there is so little sign of improved management realizing the tiniest part of that potential, that I fear the crash will be louder than a wounded Deathstar landing on your planet .....
MCH is a great profession, especially if u solo alot.
Between my pets and flamer, haven't had too many problems, even in my limited pvp
Have done very well at the Geo Lab

I must say that as a Master CH/RM I too can solo (unbuffed) pretty much anything in the game too (exclude the few odd ones here). I don't PVP (as most ppl in the game) so I couldn't care less about that. Butat the end of the day I love being a CH (and RM) because:
1)Nothing beats the feeling of taking off on your own into the wilderness and go looking for some odd creature that you are missing in your datapad, sittingby a campfire with your trusted pet far far away from everybody and everything in the game, just being on your own.
2) The feeling when you find that rare baby and your planon what action to take, the beating of the heart when you doublecheck your shortcuts (so you don't hit Strafe2 instead of Tame like last time...), thetrembling og the fingers resting lightly onBurst Run if the bugger aggros, the joy when the green text finally appears and you quickly pull back with yourlittle prescious price following you.
3) Thefun when youbring new playerswith you and see their awewhen you solo 5-6 Pikets (or 3-4 Rancors) and take them out simultanisously by letting your pet tank and then use Strafe2.
4) I like always having company with me - you're NEVER alone (although your companion is computer controlled (c: )
5) I like being different than anyone else - that I didn't just chose the prof of the month (and that comes from a RM (c: ). Diversity is great. How fun is a game with 30 odd profs when we all just plays 2-3 of them. For a long time I didn't put up a title under my name, put now I always wear my CH title - it's a statement that I'm different and don't justjump on the fastest train(or stupid (c: )
Maybe we are not the uber prof anylonger - but I don't mind that. I can still put a dent in anything I wish (although I realize that it's not the creature but my rifle that is doing the damage, but the creature still gives me the time I need to do the job).
If you want uber, micro manage stats, and just can't accept that another person just could happen to outclass you in a few (or many ares) look elsewhere - this is not for you. But beware the nerf bat is just around the corner waiting to hit at no warning, so no prof is safe (c:
you make some very valid points
yes we are now second rate tanks, i have some awesome pve pets that just cannot compare to my tkm alt, no chance, no way, no how, never! (just so you know2 lvl35 anglerarmor 60% kin 10k ham each and 2 frenzied grauls)
its really a shame now that a once proud and even powerful class has been turned into something truly second rate...
wanna solo? try tkm/master doc, now that is a truly self sufficient combo....
we will never be as good as we once were, but always remember, the nerf bat will come full circle and we will once again be worth the skillpoints it costs......
