I am a CH1111 and am looking for a good PvE pet to tame from the wild. I just splurged on a set of bio-engineered CH cloths +25tame/wild pants, +15tame/wild shirt, +15tame/wild duster (I know the bonus cap is something like +40 but I purchased the set anyway).

What is the best PvE critter I could go out and tame? I believe my max pet level is 35, and looking at swgcreatures, it looks like I should get a boar wolf, boar wolf raveger, or a graul? Do I have even a chance with my new outfit?

If you are 1/1/1/1 CH your max pet level is +20 if you look at your skill mods by pressing ctrl+S. That means that the maximum level pet you can use or tame is a CL20. The taming clothes only help with your success in taming an animal and the bonus for vicious creatures is because of the ferociousness of a creature. The maximum bonus you can get from wearing the set of clothes is also +25 not +40. I hope this clears some of that up for you.

Get a pet (BE or otherwise) that has the highest Kinetic resist you can find at level 20 (don't worry about armor, you won't have any at this level). Not sure what pet you will get, but only concern yourself about kinetic for PvE at this level.

Good luck.

as previously stated you max controlable lvl at 1/1/1/1 is cl 20....

a little know tip is no matter how many items you buy with CH+'s in them the max amount of bonus you will ever see is +25 to wild/taming so you can tame a cl 45 but you wouldn't be able to call it after it hit's 20.

again as previously stated the best plan of action you could do untill you can control some decent pets IE GSP would be to get a BE to make you a light armor high kenetic pet and just go to town

hope this helps

the skill cap per garment is +25.

ive made two +15 skill mods placed in a chef hat and the total bonus after sewing is +25 <not +30>.

having on the hat, and a +15 shirt the skill bonus is +40 <cntrl s>.

i'm a be tailor with a ch test dummy.

since i cant edit i'd just like to remind you that the active tranqs only add to your taming skill, not your pet levels.

so its just easier to get the pet and keep it under control, it wont let you get a more powerful pet than your ch levels.
