Thread: Giant Carrion Spats as mounts?

Mine just out grew me. Can anyone shed some light on the reason why a full grown giant carrion spat can't be mountable?? My savage humbaba is huge compared to him, and he's fine,so what's the friggin problem????

Giant Carrion Spat can not be mounted when full grown. If you just want to ride a red Spat, the baby has to have its growth stunted early. I usually got this message when taming the baby for the first time. If your pet is full grown, you'll need to start fresh with another.
I tamed a couple this way and frankly, I preferred the regular Spat since the Giant had a tendency to move strangely when I was riding it, such as teetering on a section of sidewalk. Good luck.

The night the mounts went live, I pulled a full grown giant carrion spat out of "deep storage" on my protcol droid, and I was immediately asked if I wanted to stun its growth to serve as a mount.
I said "yes" and it magically reverted back to CL 7 and got smaller, so the saddle would fit.
I then turned the GCS over to a fellow CH in the guild who wanted to ride a GCS.
Later, I went out and tamed a GCS baby for a GCS mount of my own. I immediately trained the baby as a mount, and when it got to the point where it was ready to grow past CL 7, I got the message again. I again said yes, don't grow any more.
This was four months ago. Hasn't grown a lick since, and is still a mount creature.

To answer your question as to why... we don't know. I SUSPECT that it is simply an art issue. The full grown model probably cannothandle the sadle art. But that is just a guess.

Well, on the savage humbaba they just made the saddle large enough to fit. They are about twice as tall as a regular falumpaset. I can't imagine why the giant spat would be different.

I don't know, either, but I guess they decided not to. Must have run out of funding in the saddle department!
